.... and it's going well.
I waited for about an hour for my Houston friends to make it back to the hotel when I looked up and saw Matt walking through the lobby. So I, being 100% out of my comfort zone followed him and caught up with him and said hi. He's used to being recognized, I think. I introduced myself, with my real name (which meant nothing) and then with my blog name .... which meant a whole lot more. He knew who I was with that name. He then invited me to join him and some other bloggers for drinks and chat, which I accepted. I had a great time.
It's funny that we all introduce ourselves with our real names, which no one knows. But as soon as we give our blog names there's a huge "a-ha! moment". Several people have recognized me by txmomx6, which has felt great. And I've recognized their blog names. We sat and talked for a couple of hours before heading over to the "meet and greet", which I and my Circle friends did not do a good job at. We kind of hung by ourselves because we're a bit pooped. In fact, we're so pooped that we decided to skip the concert tonight and hang in the hotel room and relax.
Hopefully I'll meet more people tomorrow.
So for now, we're hanging out and getting to watch a comedy. We want to laugh. We need to laugh. And hopefully we shall.
I'm glad I'm here.
