So I am back from San Diego .... and the Conference ..... and the "unreality" of my life.
The Conference was wonderful ..... it's difficult to explain how comforting it is to be in a room full of people who "get you". Not one word has to be spoken, no explanations needed ..... you are accepted. It's an amazing feeling.
Today I re-entered my life, loving going to work, but missing my new friends a great deal.
Things are crazy at work, as we are all (mostly) changing offices and moving boxes and unpacking and trying to make a new room look like home.
I also had to leave work early to wait for the ever-elusive UPS man, who never came back again ..... at least not by 5:00. I think it's a plot and it's a very dastardly one, if you ask me.
At this rate, I may never get the luscious shipment that I've been promised. Oh well.
So I came home early .... to the smell of awesome paint fumes drafting downstairs. I'm sure lost several thousand brain cells today just hanging around me house, but my thought it is .... what's a few few more?
Fortunately A & M have graciously invited Son #3 and I to spend the week with them, so as not to lose any more brain cells than necessary (I thingk they
are totally looking out for Son #3's future, knowing full-well that mine is shot to hell).

P.S. Tomorrow is Wednesay!

You know I'm obsessed with your UPS deliveries! What are you getting?
HI J!
Here is an AMW question, not only for you, but for all of your readers out there in your "peepdom" :)
Since you have mentioned in several of your blogs that macaroni & cheese is one of your favorites- would you (and your peeps) care to share your recipe(s)? Maybe we could start a comfort food recipe file! And, J, since I know that you often don't write your AMW post into the wee hrs of Wed night, and since your house is in a state, I totally understand if you would rather post the recipe at a different time :). I would start this off with one of my own...but I'm not sure Kraft would like that. :0
Thanks for posting the Texas sheet cake recipe.

Hi Janine!
I'm glad you had a good trip, enjoyed your time with J, L, and S and Dad, and that the conference was good.
I'm sure the painting will be pretty and well worth the loss of brain cells. Too bad you can't pick the cells you want to go - Please take these and these, they don't make rotary phones any more and my performance in that school play is just too embarrassing to want to remember.
They say it takes three years to get back the cells you lose after a baby. I've got one more year of grace before I have to start blaming any deficiencies on my age. :)
Love you,
Ann
Good afternoon my darling daughter.
So when did the painters finish??
They should have had that finished in plenty of time to get the house aired out before you got back! What slackers!!
You and Son #3 have been invited to spend the week with A & M. . .
and that leaves Son #2 . . .where??
(That can be my AMW question) I know he has brain cells that need to be protected also!
Love you bunches. When are you coming up?? (Another AMW)
I am so glad you went, Janine, and I wish I could have gone with you. Maybe one day. It can be a very lonely road.
I am off to the mountains later this week with the family. Time to relax. I hope!
It was so great to meet you, Janine!! =)
