Memories....

.... not only of Jim and our life together, but lots of memories of what it used to be like to have a functioning bathroom off of my bedroom. I'm not sure I could've found a slower crew of people to work on this project. I was told that it would be done and they'd be out of my house by the time the kids came home for Christmas.
Hmmmmm ..... I was not told the truth.
Sigh.
Yes, it will look great when it's done. And then I will need each and every one of you to send me a good, swift kick in the pants if I ever ponder remodeling another thing in my house. OK?
Son #1 called yesterday to say that his return home will be delayed by one day. Double sigh.
So that means he comes home on Thursday.
The horse/dog is with my mom and D now, enjoying some time with her sister. She was severly moping around the house and needed some play time. She also needs company during the day and doesn't get that here. So Mom told me that she had two happy girls last night. Hopefully the two of them (which equal aproximately 300 pounds) won't destroy her house in their glee.
Later today I will have an MRI .... can't wait for that IV to start flowing (that is what we call sarcasm). I have an appointment with my doctor first thing tomorrow morning to go over the results. Prayers for peace and a good outcome would be very much appreciated.
I shall now head out to drive in a city that has somehow been transformed into Seattle over the last month. It's been nothing but grey and rainy for too many days to count.
Hey, at least it set a good mood for "Twilight", which I finally finished.
I have now started on the second book, with a few warnings about how slow the first half of it is. Groan. I hate slow books. But .... I will persevere.
Cuz even though I hate slow books, I'm learning to like beautiful vampires.
:)

Happy Tuesday, Peeps.

I love beautiful vampires too! I have a dinner date tomorrow. Not Edward Cullen but hey, it's a dinner date, right?

Good evening my darling daughter.
Was there ever, in the history of the world, a more beautiful couple?
I think not. What memories. We were so privileged to witness the two of you together. I miss Jim so.
You are never alone on that one. I love the pictures you share.

I love you dearly. And the girls are delighted to be together.

I am praying for you this week, you will make it through, and you will have memories. Try to focus on the good ones, not the not so good ones.

And as a fellow Twilight lover, I say welcome to the series!! I plan on reading them for the second time after christmas, I can't wait!!

Good luck with your results tomorrow!

I haven't read Twilight because the whole Vampire thing is just so unreal. Is it one of those "you just got to read it anyway" books?

Hi Janine,

You are so young and sweet in those photos!

That said I do think that getting older becomes you - You really suit the colour your hair has become, and you look like one of the lucky people whose looks improve with age.

You and George.

This may seem a weird and shallow comment to make when you've got so much coming up, with anniversaries and all, but it really struck me and I thought maybe you could use some random positive distraction

I pray you get some good news from the MRI. I have a Wednesday question. Do you have a tradition of doing stocking stuffers for your children?
