Happy Snow Day, Peeps.
Yep, we had snow all day long down here in Texas, where I've only seen snow 2 other times in 18 years (once was just last year).
The schools shut down early in anticipation of bad roads. Yes, it seems that Texans seem to freak out a bit when it snows.
Speaking of snow, my brother sent me this well-known Robert Frost poem today and it really spoke to me. So I'm sharing it with you.
I think it speaks for a lot of people on this path. Even though we keep living and seem to be moving forward ..... our hearts are still scarred, never to be completely healed (read: fixed) here on earth. I think some people forget that .... it's human nature.
Here's the poem ..... happy Friday, Peeps.
Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
by: Robert Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep

That was Mom's favorite poem. She had me type it up for her. It's framed in "the boys" room.
Love, Ann
We spent the last 2 weeks of Nov in Austin. Looks like we left TX just in time. No snow so far in our part of NC today.
Love the pictures in your newest post of Jim and your son. Your kids are a good blend of you and Jim.
So glad to read your post about the date. This week I ran into a friend of ours that we lost touch with when she moved after her husband passed away about 18 months ago. She cried nearly the whole time we talked this week and I think I understood where she was so much better as a result of reading your blog. I told her about your date and how you were still struggling. Wish she was a computer user/blog reader as I think she could gain a lot from reading your blog.
Thanks for continueing to share with all your "peeps".
Waiting for dust/bathroom pictures.
