I received a note in the mail today.
It was a thank you note.
From someone I don't know.
Her name is Susan.
And she received some of Jim's tissue.
And her life now is without physical pain.
She wrote to thank me.
She wrote to tell me that she was sorry for my loss, but grateful for my decision.
So am I.
Her note made me smile.
It's like part of Jim is still living on, making a difference in someone's life.
And that is a very, very good thing.

yeah! didn't know they gave out that kind of information, but i'm glad for you that they do. (and I think even without the tissue donation, Jim is still living on, making a difference.) love you, janine.
Good evening my darling daughter.
How very nice of Susan to take the time and effort to send you a thank you note. Simple things like that can mean so much. I'm very greatful she made that effort to you. And I'm happy for the smile she gave you.
I love you very much.
Wow! What a great thing!

I agree with Susan, I think Jim is still living on in each one of your children and in your heart and in the lives of all the people he touched while he was here. And I think all of you are making a difference in the world we live in, due in part to his influence.
Blessings on your day and week end.
wow that is a neat story. I recently registered to be an organ donor. a friend, a dad, who lived on my street received a set of lungs at the last minute a couple years ago, most likely they came from one of the victims of the VA Tech shootings. i registered to donate organs because of him. here's the tx website if anyone is interested! https://www.donatelifetexas.org
