Well, I think I've run my last errand and picked up my last item to get ready for this trip. The freezer is full, which was probably a total waste of time because the boys will most likely eat cereal every night that I'm gone! Fortunately I've had a few friends who've offered to bring dinner once in a while. So at least my dear hubby will get some decent food a few times!
I've packed a boatload of deet and my anti-malaria pills so I can laugh in the face of African mosquitoes!
I've squeezed as many liquids as is humanly possible in my one-quart bag (dang that FAA!). I've packed my carry-on as full as I can. I don't have enough room to pack clean clothes for each day so there will be quite a few repeat outfits (except for undies and socks -- no repeating there! Some things I cannot and will not do!). But since everyone is going to be smelling like bug spray anyway I'm guessing it won't be an issue.
I hope that I can update the blog once or twice while in Kenya but who knows if that will happen. If not, please enjoy the re-run entries.
Speaking of re-runs, I'd like to thank the Writer's Guild for going on strike while I'm gone so that I won't miss any good shows! Wasn't that thoughtful?
I may try to post again tomorrow before I leave. If not, look for me on or right after the 18th!!
Kwa heri!! (Swahili for goodbye)
