It took my breath away .....

..... how much he looks like Jim.
I did not cry. I couldn't breathe for a moment, but I did not cry. So yay for not embarrassing him on his prom night.
That's about it ..... tomorrow is the 18th. Five months. Sometimes it seems like last night, sometimes it seems like a lifetime.
An already-too-long lifetime.

omg, that was the first thing I thought when bringing up the webpage. He looks fantastic (the girl isn't bad either ;)

As far as the header on my blog... I'm pretty terrible with all things creative and technical, but I found this site: http://www.picnik.com/ and it makes editing and writing on pictures almost intuitive. It's also free, unlike photoshop. You just upload a picture, edit it however you want, and then save it as a new file. Go into your "layout" in blogger and click on the "header" box - there's a button for uploading a picture to replace your header and that's it!

If you need more details, feel free to email me!

What a hunk! They both look so nice. And you're right - an exact replica of Jim. I know it must have been hard for you. I love you very much. I will be so glad to get down there. See you in a short time.

Wow! I understood the blog heading as soon as I saw the second pic! Whew! Could've cried on this end! You did good!!
Love you guys...all of you. Kids, I am very sorry for all of this. Just know that people are praying for you everyday and asking (begging) God to hold you and give you comfort and strength.

What a handsome young man - and yes so much like Jim. I'll bet Jim and Lee are really smiling in heaven tonight.

Love you,

Your header picture took my breath away. It's beautiful, and so are you.
So... what are you planning for the kitchen?

Loved the picture of you and the kids. Great pictures of the two on their prom date. Not really relating, but my son looks so much like my daddy it takes my breath away at times. Not really similiar but I do understand the feeling somewhat. May you feel God's presence in a special way today and may you feel His arms of comfort holding you and blessing you.

Goodness, he does look like his father. That was my first reaction before I read the rest of the story.

Janine--your new blog title reminded me of a book by Tammy Trent, "Learning to Breathe Again." Her husband died on 9/11 in a diving accident. I heard her speak at women of faith. You may want to check out her story. You can read about it at www.faithfulreader.com/authors/au-trent-tammy.asp
from what I know of her story, you both have a lot in common. susan

He is a handsome young man. But in all fairness, he does resemble his adorable mother too!

Wow,what gorgeous photos! Have been wondering if they went bowling in their prom attire!!! Kate had a wonderful weekend, so happy for her that she got to experience the fun of senior prom. Loved her comment: The decorations were really elegant! Only my daughter would make such a comment, which is one of the many reasons I adore her! Love the new blog format - hope you have a large copy of the header picture in your home! I hope to stop by to see you on Monday! Love and prayers, Cindy T.

Man you have one handsome son! Hope mine grow up to be half as handsome! And his date wasn't bad either...lol.

I really am not looking forward to taking pics like this when my get old enough. Time is going by too fast. Thankfully I still have a few years before I really need worry.
