Teetering......

My stud. At the very start of our honeymoon. A cruise. We had to take a loan out to go. Who knew that about 15 years later we would start going on them with 6 kids? I'm sure I would've jumped overboard had I known. And he would've been pushing me out of the way to go first.
:)

The de-tileing continued this morning. Actually, I think they were de-glueing and de-cementing and de-everything else you have to scrape off of the floors. And it was still very loud. Here's how desperate it became --- I took the kids to go see the Hulk movie to get out of the house. That's not the desperate part (I enjoyed it). Sons #2 & #3 saw it yesterday and went again, so they could escape the noise --- and chalk-like substance that filled the air and now covers every single thing in this house. Including my poor cats. Yuck. Is it possible to give a cat a bath without losing copious amounts of blood?

Here's Daughter #2 -- the invalid:

And just to give you an example as to how much clutter bothers me, this is what my room looks like now, because Daughter #2 is in there with me and it's where the other two girls and sometimes the two boys camp out:

I know that it doesn't look cluttered, but it does to me. Yes, I have a problem. I fully acknowledge that. And I don't care. I have come a long way since birthing 6 kids and have let many things go. But having stuff picked up is not one of them. Having the house totally clean IS one. Letting the girls have the atomic aftermath they call a room is also one.
So, just imagine how much THIS freaks me out:

But I'm coping. I steeled myself for this. I was ready. I just keeping thinking how beautiful it will look. Someday.

Son #1 comes home tomorrow. I've missed him. So I'll have all 6 of them home at the same time for one afternoon. I think it will be the last time they're all here for quite some time. I'm not ready for this. But they are and that's what's important now.
I have the greatest kids in the world. Even when they don't always do what I'd like (like pass a class) they are still extraordinary people and I shall miss them. I feel so blessed that God loaned them to Jim and me for the short time that He did. I pray that we did an OK job and made Him happy.
I know that they've brought us happiness.
Much more than they brought heartache.
And fun.
Lots and lots of fun.
And more love than I can weigh.

Chuck's mom has two cats that she bathes every week. She says that they didn't like it the first few times but now the some running when they hear the bath water. She says it keeps her house from smelling like cat and that people with cat allergies are fine in her home. We have not been to Pennsylvania to visit in a couple of years so I don't know any of this first hand, I'm just relaying what she says to be true.

We have a cat that gets a bath about 1-2 times a month. He is declawed in front so that helps lessen the blood flow. Actually, he has gotten used to the baths. He still isn't pleased and does "growl" a bit but he is managable for one person. Cheryl
