Happy Monday.
I have decided to move past the weekend postings. I will do what I will do and am not swayed by people who don't know me. I gave everyone who commented a spot on the blog, whether or not I agreed with them.
Let it be known, however, that Son #2 has always, and is still, in control of when he comes home. He's always known that he must make certain grades, and improve his attitude before he can return to high school here. It's always been his choice, not mine.
So he does have a few more weeks to dig in and make huge improvements. He knows this and he says he can do it.
We shall see.
Speaking of Son #2, here he is Thanksgiving night with his good friend C. They love playing music (?) together. And, evidently, posing like dorks for pictures:
Here is Daughter #1 and our friend N, who had his birthday on Tuesday. They got sung to and blew out candles on a very yummy cheese cake that N's mom, C, made.
Here is Daughter #3 with her wild animal, ummmmm, I mean lovely dog, Miley. She's actually a very cute and mostly well-behaved dog. She and Gabby are maniacs when put together.

Here are Daughters #3 and #2 with their respective pets, Miley and Jovie (aka Thank God It's Not a Tattoo):

I let the horse/puppy sleep in my bed last night. Not only was she there, but so was the motorboat, Rigby.
All. Night. Long.
And it was a very long night. But it was nice to have Gabby close. Well, right up to the point that she stuck her nose in my ear and started snoring.
This shall be a busy week. I'm having lunch with some wonderful friends today. Tonight I'm leading a "Grieving Through the Holidays" session.
Tomorrow night I will be attending my first meeting of the new District Legislative Committee for our school district. Jim will be there in spirit.
Wednesday night I have my first Stephen Ministers meeting. And hopefully dinner with my Circle on Thursday night.
Throw in work and tennis and it will be a full week.
Oh yeah .... and keeping up with the blog and everyone else's.
Whew!

I knew it...I just knew it. Right on. Good job. Keep it up. And additional comments of that variety.
Here is my question for ask me Wed. I'm doing this anon because I don't want my son to see it. So what would you do with your child if you had a generally VERY good kid, straight A student, responsible etc etc but he had a sort of tendency to sneak/lie but you can't catch him because well he's sneaky. LOL. For example whenever he gets mad at his sis, he does it when I'm not looking. Sis on the other hand is exactly the same person in my presence or not so she tends to get in trouble more. So the other day he was grounded off the Wii. I left him home for abit and came home and saw him running too quickly away from the TV. I just had a "feeling" and I asked "Were you just on the Wii?" and he denied it but then I had a little talk about honesty and he admitted it. So... now I'm in a dilemma. I know this is serious and I need to discipline him (he's now grounded from the Wii for a month) but... I want to use this as an impotrant example to teach him lying - and sneaking - are NOT ok!!! Any suggestions?!!!!
Dear J,
OK, maybe that little button was there the whole time and I just didn't notice. Anyway, I have been watching your hit parade ticker - WOW! and can I just say WOW!!! It's so entertaining I think I should pop corn. Plus, I am learning the flags of the world! Thank you for providing this service. :) Look at me makin' smileys like a pro!
Hope you had a good day and you get a chance to catch your breath this week. Miss Molar and I went to Target today and I'm all in.
Love,
A
Ummm, yes A, it's been there for quite a long time!
You crack me up, though, with your lively description of what happens behind that button (though it took me a while to realize what you were talking about!).
I'm so happy that you have something else to obsess about now!!
Love you!!
Me OBSESSIVE??? Maybe. But let me explain the ticker game I was playing and you'll see that there is a HUGE!! entertainment potential here. As the ticker zips by - ya gotta be quick - pick an unlikely hit - say China - now for the fun! You wait.................... to see when they depart. It's pretty wild how many people, clearly fired out of the google canon in the wrong direction, land on your site... and stay.
Good Night!
Love,
A
Just a quick note...
I LOVE YOU!!!
(You guys are all so cute with your little "house farm" full of critters!)
Would you like 2 roosters and a 14 year old? I'd be happy to ship them!
Love, love, love you,
Lis
So, glad you are moving on and doing the "next thing". Wow, sounds like you have a full week. Loved the pictures. You are a great mom, that is evident from what you write and then from what your kids write. I didn't want to comment when the some of the others made such harsh ones, I wanted to say something that was encouraging. Praying for your week. Blessings
Well, I happened upon your blog through a friend of a friends....[does that make sense?] Anyway, I'm hooked. You writing is incredible....the way you capture events is unbelievable.
Although, I only know what you post [and what your children post] I am convinced you are an amazing person and mother. Children need structure and discipline to succeed in life. As parents it's our job to raise healthy, independent and successful adults.
Please know you're in my prayers each & every night.
