Last night we celebrated my friend, S's, birthday:
And there were a lot of people there to celebrate with her:
We all had a good time. Her husband, S, rented a bus to drive most of down into the city. We went to a fabulous restaurant and I'm sure entertained everyone within ear shot, which would've been the entire restaurant!

Today has been a quiet day. I spent a good portion of it paying bills and puttering around in the study, after church.
That was one of Jim's favorite activities ..... "puttering".
I'm missing him a lot today.
Heck, I'm missing him a lot every day.
I miss his puttering.
Here are some pictures from Minnesota:
This one isn't very good, but I was trying to get a picture of the dog, Peanuts, eating peas.
I know!
This dog would eat anything. I've never seen a dog eat vegetables before. Wish that would've worked as easily with my kids. :)

If you look closely you can see that these leaves are covered with frost. I haven't seen frost in the month of November in years and years. It was in the 20's that morning and I was cold.

This is an apple orchard at a restaurant where we had lunch (note the apples all over the ground under the trees):

And here is the finished quilt, now on my bed (I flipped the bottom left corner so you could see the backing):

I love this quilt more than I can say and sleep under it every night. It's like having part of Jim to snuggle with (note the Rolling Stones t-shirt on the edge):

And since some of you have asked, here's the update on my bathroom:
So there you go.
Some updates.
A birthday.
Some memories.
Speaking of memories ..... here is Jim .... in that Rolling Stones t-shirt:
And Happy Sunday.

Love the pictures of you and M in MN and what a treasure to have that quilt. It is wonderful to see a picture of Jim on your blog.
So handsome! Is there a story behind the "Stones" t-shirt...?
Much love, Vicki

The quilt is beautiful and what a gift and treasure for you. The pictures were great and i loved the one of the clouds reflected in the lake and "they" say there is no God...who else could create such beauty, Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your week.
