.... where the weather was gorgeous and the company was fun.
We took 14 teenagers to the lake for their "after prom party". They're a great group of kids and everyone had a good time, though sleep was not a top priority.
Food and fun, in that order, seemed to top the list.
I did manage to brave the 65 degree water temperature once .... when I went off of the rope swing. That was my limit. The kids stayed in the water a lot longer .... I think their bodies went numb after 7 minutes so then it was easy.
Of course, their bodies could've also been on the numb side from an overload of sour gummy worms, carbonated beverages, a pound or two of Cheez-its, potato chips and dip, chocolate candy, brownies and red velvet cake.
Or not.
I'm just sayin' ....
And just so you know, Peeps, that I still think of you when I go places .....
