One Xanax later ......

Surgeon #2 called. Everyone's scan looks great. He recommends waiting for a year and then doing an echo (ultrasound). As long as the genetic tests don't show anything the kids can keep getting those every couple of years or so, since they now have the base line measurements. That was the best news I've heard since December 17th. I can breathe a bit easier (well, the Xanax helped).
Now we await news from the new doctor to see how soon we can get Son #2 in.
And we wait 6 months for the genetic results.
We've been waiting a lot lately.
You'd think I'd be an expert.

That is an AWESOME picture!!! What is that in the background, Anchorage? Where did you take that and what wonderful person took you there? I bet that was the most awesome relaxing thing you did all that summer!!! And from the look on Son #3's face, I would be willing to bet he had the BEST time of everyone!!

Love ya!

On another note, I'm extremely glad for that news, and glad that it feels like maybe He IS helping you, if only a little at a time.

Love and miss you TONS!!

Janine,
I sense your frustration with your banker. I don't know where you do your banking, but if you need a contact at JPMorganChase, you know that Troy could help you with that. Im sure you have family helping you sort all through that. I also read comments on your blog about Jim's bike. Troy knows alot about bikes, so if you need any help with that, let us know too. If you are going to sell it, he could find someone for you very easily. Not trying to get into your personal business...just offering our help if needed. Let me know when you want another chocolate chip bundt cake!!! Glad to hear the good news about the test results.

I read your blog everyday, every entry and sometimes I comment and other times I just don't know what to say. I want to write words that encourage and lift you up and I want to write words that say yuck, that stinks, unbelieveable and then at times I have no words to give. Girl, I think of you often and pray for you more often. Grateful you got a breather today!
Love,
Julie

So glad they finally got back to you about the scans. It is good news that all of their hearts look great. We will get to the bottom of #2's lung issue. promptly.
On another note, C did well today- no news till next week.
I'm glad you went to work today, I hope your talk with #2 went well. I really think he is going to figure things out- I believe he wants to. I love you, K.

Amy,
It's not a banker (I do use JPMC). It was a "friend" who I found out works for an investment firm (who used to work with Jim).
And I will take one of your cakes any time you want to make one. It was excellent and lasted less than a day.

I join the rest of your family and friends in saying how incredibly thankful and relieved I am that the scans look great. Continued prayers for the genetic results, and #2's lungs and school issues. I am so proud of the great people in your life who are constantly there for you and the kids, offering help and encouragement and love. They are the hands and feet of Christ-continue to accept their kindness for as long as you need them. You and the kids are blessing so many lives.
Love,
Natalie

More Random thoughts . . .

Good to hear about the scans! . . .
I agree just say no to the financial guy. He came across as very unprofessional. It really bugs me when people try to make you feel obligated to use their services - Run, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction - You go girl! . . . It looks like you are going to get more of that special bonding time with son #2 - with a few more medical tests. I know I and am sure countless others have been praying for son #2 - you never know what type of information you will learn about son #2 that will be very beneficial.

I love you and I'm proud of you for letting that man know that he crossed a boundary that was very hurtful! Terri had something similar happen after Carey's funeral. Her BOSS - selling insurance - told Terri what an awesome opportunity to sell life insurance to all these people who had attended Carey's funeral! Can You believe that????? It was all about HIM and $$$$ for him, not compassion for what Terri was going through!

My love to you!

You know lil' bro and I can't take care of him for ya (we learned from the best ie. dad, mom) Not that we are horrible people we just don't like nobody messin' with family! I'm still trying to see if I can make it in March. Alot a pleading and sucking up. So I will let ya know! I love you sis! I look forward to spending time with you and just having fun and laughing!

Good for you! Nice to see your spunk is still in tack!!! This creature definitely needs to move on. I can only hope that time to reflect will do him some good. Great news on all the scans - one more thing behind you. Glad you've started back to work, I'm sure God will take your service at what ever level you're able to give. My heart tells me that your heart will be filled again through missions. The glow that I saw at the Christmas Tea will come again! Love, Cindy T.
