A blog that started out as a humorous tale of raising 6 children, then quickly became a chronicle of my grief at being suddenly widowed. Now it's the rest of my journey ... of living, laughing, crying, praying, rejoicing. Of being happy, sad, angry, content, sorrowful, alone, amazed and very, very blessed. And still taking life, one breath at a time ........

Feeling blank
This is another picture of Jim and Son #1 in 1992. Another of my favorites. I guess most of them are my favorites.
hi sweetie - i was thinking of the poll and you and the blog, and how much we all love it and redaing how you're doing but wanted to encourage you also to not feel ever like you "have to" post to not have us worry. you don't need anything else to worry about, and though you are a blessing to us just by being you, the blog should be your creative expressive outlet to let things out, and never something you feel you are obligated to... i know from experience that can take the creativity right from a person... and i just wanted to say that. i'm sure you know this in your heart of hearts but i thought i'd voice the thought also. i hope the blog writing is healing for you and never a burden. some days there are just no words. love you. W.
and i agree with wendee, above. It's your outlet. I know when I was writing in October and November, sometimes I felt it was too much pressure to write and say something new and blogworthy. I even wrote a post saying I was taking a break. And then three days later I found I had a lot more to say and it was probably the shortest announced blogging break ever, but the freedom to Not post, made the thoughts and words come easier.
All of that is to say- do what you need to do, we'll keep checking in even if you go a few days without writing.
Hey ya chick! I love the pic of Jim and #1, was that taken in OK or TX? Never mind I just answered my own ? . I agree with the two above. You don't need to worry about us, worry about you and your well being. I love you sista! And may your day be better than the day before. That is what I pray for you.
Have a BLESSED day. A QUIET, non-machete, screens out of the windows, son #2, track meet day...you deserve them once in awhile. XOXO K in AK and your lil'bro.
Just got back and was catching up on all of your posts from when I was gone. Here's my question--did anyone come after YOU with a machete while you were trying to take a picture of their ox-drawn cart in Africa??? Needless to say, I never got a picture of the ox drawn cart. Susan
Oh Susan you're back! Since you went vicariously in J's place to some extent I am very curious to hear all about it! Will you be talking to the church about your experience? I hope I don't miss it, I'm going back to Australia next Monday... do you have a blog?!! maybe it's a time to start one!! :) i will have to find your email address somehow...
