Wal-Mart, Wine and Wickedness

I think I have discovered something about myself on this trip:
I cannot survive without a Wal-Mart or wine.
Pathetic, I know.
But get this .........   there were two other moms with their cadets in line behind me at the Wal-Mart, BOTH buying multiple bottles of wine!!
We all agreed that if we have to listen to the "I hate it here and want to go home" crap, we weren't going to listen to it without copious amounts of wine!
And now I am being wicked.  I am totally ignoring the costumed little munchkins that keep ringing the door bell on the dark porch.  Son #2 suggest that I give them sips of wine.
Waste wine??!  Whatevah!

So here is Son #2's company, getting ready to do the "colors".  They got to be at ease because we had to wait for several parents to arrive.  He is the 3rd one back in the middle row, with his arms crossed.

                            At formal "at ease":

Performing a project in Spanish class:

Trying to give me the "puppy eyes" --- to which I am now immune.  Mostly.

In his "happy place" -- in front of a computer:

So we're now relaxing (with the lights off) at the lovely home of D's parents'.  He's on and off of the computer and I'm watching "Super Nanny".  I wish I had that job!!  Although I'd probably have to serve time on and off after a couple of those home visits.
I had to give Son #2 an ultimatum today.  He had to stop complaining and stop talking about coming home this year, and stop pouting and getting "ugly" or I was leaving him at school tonight and flying home tomorrow.  He chose for me to stay.  I'm glad .... as long as he fulfills his part.
I love spending time with him when he's not being moody.  He has a great sense of humor and is so much fun.
Tomorrow we have a 7:30 pancake breakfast (this getting up at 6:00 a.m. is going to kill me!).  Then there's a big parade that he's in and then we can leave for the day, until about 4:00.  Then he has to go back to get ready for the Ball.
Daughter #2 is also in a parade tomorrow.  She was nominated for Homecoming Queen so she has to sit in a convertible and wave.  Too fun!!  I'm sorry to miss it, but knew I needed to be here.  I think she understood.  Being one of 6 --- they've each had to learn.  I can only be spread so far ..... and now that it's just me I can't be spread much at all.
But they are each great people and pretty understanding.

OK, time for me to make some popcorn and watch a video with the son.
Keep praying!!!
And thank you for all of the prayers you've already sent.

From your post seems like to me, our prayers are being answered. Loved the puppy eyes picture and the pout....wow...he is good looking. Stay strong don't give in, we all know that he will be so grateful in the future. Praying for your day.

I'm pretty sure is was Daughter number #2 who was nominated. And when I'm nominated Homecoming King at OSU, I bet you'll be there. :)
