We had a good weekend. Son #3 and I came home this afternoon. Gabby is worn out. She and Miley, Daughter #3's dog, played and played hard. They're exhausting to watch but they have fun
I love being at the lake.
And I hate it.
It's very difficult sometimes. Being there. Being there .... without him.
Actually, it's sometimes difficult being anywhere. Anywhere ..... without him.

What wonderful pictures!
Okay...I have a dilemna and I need your (and your friend's) advice.
The question of the day is,
"What would you do if your 14 year old daughter pierced her belly button at school with a needle?"
She did it with a bunch of friends.
Should I call all of their parents? Should I call the school? Should I kill her?
I'm at a loss with this kid. :(

I can only imagine what it is like with out Jim. I know it is hard for you but look at all the wonderful people you have around you to try and make it a little better. I wish I could have been there this weekend with the whole bunch of you! I'm glad you had a good one. Wow! How much I missed! I love you tons J! All of you! Miss you all and love you all so much! It sucks I missed it!
Wow, Lis! Have you killed her yet???!!
One of Daughter #1's friends did that at around the same age. I found out and told her mom.
Did any of the other girls do it, too? If so, then yes, call their parents.
You should definitely call the school! Did they do this in the bathroom at lunch time or what?!!! And dang, I bet it hurt!!!
Sorry, sis .... sounds like a bumpy road ahead.
:/
I don't know. I can't get a truthful answer from her. She told her sister, (who ratted her out!)that she did it in choir class during a film, but she told US that she did it in the bathroom. She says that the other girls didn't do it, but I'm guessing that she's just trying to protect them. I will be calling the school first thing in the morning...and the mother of one of the other girls, who happens to be the principal at the high school!
I am just sick about this:(
Hi Lis, Being in the medical field, yes, you should advise the parents if you can. Ask the children if they have ever heard of HEPATITIS??? Yikes, I am a year behind ya...mine is 13 years old! Also, I have heard that their is a nerve near the belly button, that if severed or infected can cause other problems. ??? Any nurses out there know anything else about this??? Anyone?? Buehler??
Good luck Lis. (or rather, good luck daugher??? LOL)

J-LOVED the pics!
XOXO
Love the pictures, Janine. Your grandmother is just too cute.
Lis, my 2 cents (y'know, from a complete stranger!) would be to tell. My reaction was the same as K's, that from a medical standpoint the parents would want to know. Can you even imagine if it got infected?? *shudder* (Disclosure: I have no medical training at all, I am just a mom.)
