My chicks are home

...... yes, we are all together. Well, almost all.   As all as it's going to be now.
But here we are ...... together:

Notice anything about our "togetherness"?  If you noticed that 4 out of 5 people had computers on their lap then DING DING!!  YOU WIN!!  I was just sitting here ... not on mine .... and suddenly realized what was going on.  So I grabbed the camera and told them it was going on the blog.  And so it is.
And now 5 out of 6 people are on their computers.  Please note that picture #2 was totally staged by Daughters #1 & #3 so that it appeared that they are conversing and interacting.  Ha!
Actually, they kind of are.  #3 is showing #1 videos on YouTube.
So they're all here .... safe and sound.  And I am so glad.  So --- very.

Meanwhile, Daughter #3's dog, Miley, has been banished to the back yard with Gabby.  Oh.  My.  Goodness -- they are THE most spastic, most house-destroying couple of dogs I know!  Gabby is so excited to see her, and visa versa, that they are running circles all over the house.  And driving me totally nuts.  This is why I don't want a smaller second dog.
So now they are out in the cold.  Hopefully they will run their little/big legs off and tire themselves out.  Not likely but I can hope.

The kids and I have had some discussions about December ... and all that it holds.  And no tears from me so yay for that.

Well, I have nothing brilliant or entertaining to say here so I will close for tonight.  I am so thankful to have my children here.  All 6 of them are healthy and relatively happy, so I am thankful for that.  I have awesome children who love and support me.
Jim and I did a good job.  I think.  Mostly.
And I am so very thankful for Jim.  And the time we had.  Not long enough, but at least it was there.
I have so very many things to be thankful for.  Maybe that will be the Thanksgiving post.
What are you thankful for?

And just a reminder - tomorrow is Ask Me Wednesday!

I'm trying really hard to think of a Wed question for you, but so far I'm drawing a blank. Oh! I know. What are a few of your favorite plays, and why? What I'm thankful for... so much! I'll have a blog post on Tgiving. But in short, friends, my kids, grace/Jesus (what an awesome God He is!), our church, love (of all types), wisdom, books, freedom, sunshine, and the amazing beauty that exists in nature and wildlife. :)

Hi J!
I am thankful for family and friends. I've always felt a surge of thankfulness on sunny days like we had today when the sky is a clean, crisp blue. The world is beautiful.

My son had some interesting thoughts on the subject for a school assignment. He was thankful for his family, friends, community, yadda, yadda, yadda and ant poison. 'Nough said. He's one of a kind!

Love you,
A

Dear J,
My Wednesday question is about style. I have a fashion bug in my home (Miss G). She worries to excess about her clothes. At this time I have been indulging her because unhappiness with her clothes can actually be a distraction at school. Fashion seems to be a type of armor she wears so she can cope. And she is doing so much better this year. I just don't want her to value herself by how she looks. Do you think that as her confidence in school and social situations increases she may place less importance on having her hair just so and wearing what fashion dictates?

Love,
A

Happy Thanksgiving, thanks for always sharing with me and everyone else. My kid came home last night, but stopped at BFF's house for a few hours until she showed up. OH WELL. She's home and on the lap top. Life is good.

I am thankful for my family. We have an awsome family full of love and laughter. (don't you think?) God blessed me with an wonderful husband (third time WAS a charm) and two beautiful children plus a bonus 3 step children all beautiful too and I just feel lucky to have it all. Our parents and our siblings, nieces and nephews, just AWSOME! I don't think I could ask for a more awsome family!

To all those nieces and nephews.. Hola' and I love you all tons. You all look great and I miss you! Hope to talk to you on Thanksgiving. Hugs and Kiss from Aunt D

As for a question...I draw a blank right at this moment. Maybe as I go through my day of cleaning and cooking for tomorrow I will come up with something. Love you J! Enjoy the kids and your holiday with them and MOM! :)
