A blog that started out as a humorous tale of raising 6 children, then quickly became a chronicle of my grief at being suddenly widowed. Now it's the rest of my journey ... of living, laughing, crying, praying, rejoicing. Of being happy, sad, angry, content, sorrowful, alone, amazed and very, very blessed. And still taking life, one breath at a time ........
Those were wonderful articles. I am amazed that everytime I read an article I see something new that he was involved in. There aren't many people out there that can take care of their family and community with the apparent passion that he did.
I'm glad all the kids are home and I wish you all a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
ps: Will a new puppy be added to the family in the new year? They are so cute!
Ok...this is a little late. You had asked for "stories" of Jim. Your comment on facebook made me think of this.
You don't know this but...
Every and any time M1 and I have thought about our kids college or buying our first house, it scared me so much that my brain would melt. Nothing made sense.
All this time, in the back of my head, all I could think was..."J.A.J."(Just Ask Jim)
I always thought, it's OK...we'll just call Jim...he'll tell us what to do and guide us through it all. The right way.
Thinking of you and your family during this holiday Janine. I know it will be hard...I'm so glad you have each other. As I was headed to church tonight (in Ohio), I had the thought - wouldn't it be SOMETHING to go to CTK tonight for worship? Made me think of you and Jim 15 years ago......life was very different then....love you and yours.
Very nice articles, J. How nice to see that so many people miss him and continue to honor and remember him! I love you very much and I truly hope that your Christmas is peaceful and pleasant.

Wow- those ARE good articles- I like the last line in the first article about the significant impact your husband has made.
And I guess I just haven't been paying enough attention, but I didn't realize that Daughters #2 and #3 were twins! :)
