Too pooped to Bowl

We are here.
We are tired.  Well, I am tired.  Son #2 is currently passed out on a chair next to me (and has been for about 2 hours).  Son #1 slept for at least 2 hours this afternoon.
Now he and Daughter #1 are off to the outlet mall.  Not me.
J and Son #3 are off to the Bowl game.  Not me.
I slept about an hour last night.  Just one.
I was up at 4:45 and we left at 5:30 for the airport.
No one ripped our boarding passes out of my hand .... which was good since I almost fell asleep standing up waiting for our healthy breakfast at the airport McDonald's.  I would not have had the strength to resist.
Heck, I probably wouldn't have even noticed.
So, first class was nice.
Now I have flown in first class several times over the years.  My famous mom used to work for an airline (an airline which I cannot stand so I will refrain from mentioning it) so we flew a lot.
This, however, was the kids' first time.
Son #2 was so overwhelmed that he slept from takeoff to touchdown.
Son #1 said it was nice and he enjoyed it but didn't think it would be worth paying the full price of a first class ticket (which we did NOT!).  I agreed that it might not be worth it for a 3 hour flight, but to ...... say ...... Kenya ....... I'd totally think it was worth it!
Son #3 seemed to enjoy the itty-bitty-mini salt & pepper shakers that came on his tray.  Well, that and the hot towel before breakfast.
Daughter #1 enjoyed the trip as emotionally as she enjoys anything (read: hard to tell).
I settled in to watch "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" and promptly fell asleep.  I think it might've been good, though.
So the flight was quiet and uneventful.  Yay for uneventful.
As soon as we got here J, L, Son #3 and I went down to the country club here where T. Boone Picken's wife was hosting a huge OSU party.  And it was.  It was strange to see so many people wearing so much orange here!!
I met Mrs. Picken, whom J & L know.  She seemed very nice.
After the whole affair J took Son #3 to meet T. Boone, someone the boy admires very much (and hopes to do as well as with his investments ............ ummmmm, yeah....).  J took their picture, which I shall be posting some time soon and which he will, hopefully, someday use to get  into the college of his choice (you know ..... like send it in with the app with a note that says, "Uncle T says hi" or something like that).  No, I'm not above that.
Well, I might be, but I guess we'll cross that bridge later.

S just woke up from her nap, as did Son #2.  So I have "The Jumpitz" in my left ear (something that seems to be a cross between Barney and The Wiggles, without the dinosaur and the dancing men), Son #2's taste of "music" (which happens at the moment to be screaming, blaring, loud lyrics in German) in my right ear and that California Housewives show in front of me.
It is an interesting combo.

I'm getting ready to settle in, again, and watch the OSU game on ESPN.
Let's hope that I catch more of it than I did of that Pants movie.

By the way ...... the Christmas gift answers have been nice to read.  I'm going to keep that question for the week.
What was the best Christmas gift you ever got?
And, Tamara, I am SOOOO jealous of you!  A WORKING tub????
Sheesh ...... the only thing my Barbie ever came with was a purse.

Good evening my darling daughter. That game pretty much sucked! Dang. Poor J & C.

Ok. . .so you didn't have a Barbie that had a working tub. . .big deal! What you DID have was a mom that stayed up several nights (ALL night, I might add) to finish a complete wardrobe for yours and your sister's dolls. Man! That has to count for something!! :) And I loved every minute of it.

So get some rest so you'll be able to see the New Year in properly! I love you!

Hmmmm...I've had some good gifts. One of my very favorite was my down comforter that my husband bought me for our first Christmas. I had always wanted one. I still have it, but I'm allergic to it and can't sleep with it! Another great gift was from my dad. It was starts from two plants that our great, great (great?) grandmother brought over with her on the wagon train! I still have them and they are very special to me.
I love you and I'm glad that you and the kids got out to see Jim's family for the holiday!

Why yes...yes it did suck! (OSU game) Poor Zac got the @#&% knocked out of him and just didn't play worth a hoot the second half. I'm trying to choose which was my favorite gift. I think it would have to be my orange record player I got from Santa with all the 38's I played that thing constantly. And it was the kind you could close and take any where. I think it was about 1972. I was very suprised! Love you sis! Have a wonderful time in SD!
