Happy Birrthday, Mom!

Yep, today is my mom's birthday.  She is ....... well, she'll probably be miffed already because she won't like the picture I chose ....... so I could go one of two ways here.  I could tell you how old she is because, heck, if she's already miffed what's the diff, right?
Or, I could not tell you how old she is so that maybe she'll be a little less miffed about the picture.

     I'm going with the latter.
Cuz that woman can totally pinch hard.  Still.

Today Gabby and I are celebrating, in spirit, with Mom.
Gabby can't have food, and neither can I.  Yippee.
My good friend Dr. M just came to pick her up and spay her.  She's also picking up Gabby's sister and doing the same thing.  I may start referring to Dr. M as the Massy-Taxi.  Cute, no?
She'll have 2 of her own soon enough so she's getting the feel of it today.

I was supposed to play tennis today.  I realized this might not be the smartest idea while I was vacuuming earlier (Gabby decided to play in the mud this morning to punish me for what's to come) and things started going a wee bit dark.
After I checked the lights I realized that it was me ..... and that I needed to sit down.
Who woulda thunk that 2 days with only a couple of cups of solid food would make it difficult to play tennis on the 3rd day?!
OK, I totally would have thought that ...... had I just thought about it.  And I'm going with blaming the lack of food on the lack of thought, too.
Anyway, I am here at home .... all day.  I have just put in "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" (the one I slept through in first class).
I have 3 other movies in the queue and have a Sprite next to me.

Don't be jealous.

Since I'm going to be sitting around, watching movies, trying not to pass out and/or throw up, I shall make a series of posts to keep you all up to speed with how it's going.

Hey!  If I have to sit here and be miserable all day YOU have to at least be miserable reading about it!!

So, don't whine ......  and start wishing my mom happy birthday!!!

Happy Birthday Janine's Mom! I hope you have a wonderful day. Just like your daughter, sitting there watching TV and drinking interesting beverages, while the rest of us toil away, tidying, cleaning, reading blogs, cooking etc etc etc!

Happy Birthday, Janine's Mom. May it be a great day.
I truly do feel sorry for you having to drink all of that stuff and suffer all day. Take care of yourself. Looking forward to whatever you post. Just think tomorrow it will be all over. Everyone I know who has had one survived, even when they thought they weren't going to on the day before the procedure. Thinking of you, already prayed for you.

Happy Birthday Janine's Mom.
Sorry Gabby. Too bad you can't share some of J's wine.

Oh I'm feeling the family love. You guys are hilarious.

Happy birthday to your mom. Hope it is a great one.

And I hope your day isn't as horrible as it sounds like it is going to be. I feel for you. I have a bad gag reflex as well. Never could take prenatal vitamins with any of my kids.

That's funny because it's my mom's birthday today too! She is 57. She doesn't have her own computer (Well she does but doesn't have web access!)and she reads my blog but does so at work and they wouldn't like it if she commented so she is a silent follower!
It was nice to see your mom.

Good morning my darling daughter. Thank you for the birthday mention. HOWEVER. . .if I had my choice of the picture or the telling of my age, I certainly would have voted for the telling of the age! That picture totally bites!! And age is only a number. Somebody told me that. I can't remember who, 'cause I'm really old. But don't start thinking about a "home" for me yet, because I can still remember SOME stuff. And I can STILL pinch.

Thanks for the birthday wishes from your commentors. Much appreciated.

You and Gabby will be in my thoughts all day today. I'm so sorry you have to drink that gunk! You would think there is something else they could come up with, wouldn't you? YUK But hang in there. I know you can do it. As you said, it's just one day.
