Feeling much better this morning. Having 2 good nights of sleep certainly hasn't hurt.
Yes, that means that on New Year's Eve I excitedly rung in the New Year in my dreams. But hey, I held out until the ball dropped on the east coast, so see ... I can be an exciting guest.
Yesterday we drove into La Jolla because I had to hit my favorite store here, Fresh Produce. No kidding, if I don't go to that store at least once a visit then my body starts to have very negative reactions.
Hey! Maybe that's why I got so sick! Dang! Next time we're driving straight to La Jolla from the airport! If I'd only realized.
Then yesterday I spent the afternoon snoozing on the couch. I am SUCH a thrilling guest.
Last night we went to a mexican restaurant where I ate bland cheese enchiladas. Not bland in taste. They were California good (as opposed to Texas great, but don't tell J&L that). I usually order something more exciting but was following the doctor's orders of "treating my gut easy". I wonder if he learned that phrase in med school .... when he was about 12, because he totally looked no older than 18.
Last night I stayed up until 10:00. Don't laugh ... that's midnight on MY time!
So now we're heading home. I am looking forward to seeing my horse/dog who's feeling so deserted that she keeps climbing into her lap for comfort. Poor Gabby. Poor Mom!!
We've had a nice time here, as always (in spite of the all night yak-fest). I'd like to stay longer but alas, Daughter #1 has to return to the east coast bright and early tomorrow.
And, I guess that I must begin calling doctors on Monday and scheduling appointments and seeing what's going on inside my body.
I. Can. Not. Wait.
Ugh.
So .... goodbye from the west coast.
See ya in the great state of Texas (OMG, I can't believe I've actually typed that ..... being the one who told Jim we'd never tell our two youngest that they were ..... gulp ..... Texans. Sigh .... guess it grabs hold of you if you stay too long).
Adios.

I'm glad you were able to enjoy the rest of you trip somewhat, at least! Hope you & the doctors can figure out what's wrong!! Praying for you & your family! :)
Sending you prayers for quick tests, quick answers and a quick solution - honestly, have a hug. X
Ditto on what Carrie said.
Can hardly wait for an update.
