A Little Turkish Delight ....

... goes a very long way.
In my opinion anyway.
If you don't know what it is, google it.

We spent our 2nd day in Istanbul today. We toured a couple of mosques and went to the Grand Bazaar again. Yesterday was our first trip there and D1 and I had less than an hour. We ended up being held prisoner by 2 guys in their shop who would NOT take NO for an answer. I kid you not. These were the 2 most aggressive, and not very kind, people we'd ever met. They made us late for our bus and I ended up buying something just to get out of there. Getting out so that we could #1. Catch our bus and #2. Make sure that Daughter #1 didn't murder one of them. Really.
Our excursion to the Bazaar today was much better. We only dealt with friendly people and it was cool to be able to walk around this amazing place that has over 5,000 shops. I don't think we even saw 100.
It was a short day today. We set sail from Istanbul around 2:00 p.m. Then D1 and I hit the pool side to read and relax and sleep. Or at least I slept. I was pooped.
Our dinner time is 8:45 .... very late for me but it hasn't been too bad.
Tonight I came back to the cabin around 11:30 while D1 went to hit an 80's Trivia contest in one of the clubs. She came in 2nd place. Got a free t-shirt .... not too shabby.
Tomorrow we tour Ephesus and then have our Turkish dinner in a nearby village (I had thought it was last night but got my days mixed up, which is totally easy to do on a cruise ship!).

OK ... time for me to watch "How to Train A Dragon" and go to sleep.
Pictures will come later. I'm almost out of internet time so I'll have to sign up for more.
Sheesh.

Happy Saturday/Sunday (my time), Peeps.
:)
