A Good Weekend ....

.... has come and gone.
It's not that I got anything huge accomplished, it's just that it was a nice, easy weekend, with a few nice, easy relationships thrown in.
C and I went to dinner with a couple of his friends who moved away from here but are now moving back.  The 2 men seemed very excited at the prospect of being able to hang out together again and start playing golf again.  We 2 women mostly just smiled at their eager little faces.
Then yesterday I paid bills and started watching the OSU game all alone in my home.  S2 went to work, S3 went to College Station with a wonderful friend of ours who has season tickets.  I think they had a good time though it was difficult to ask him when he stumbled into the house at 3:00 a.m.!
So after they left I headed over to C's house to watch the game there with him.  It was very relaxing ... even the times when we were cleaning his house.  Go figure.
Then, my cousin Carlene, who lives near Chicago, came for a quick visit with her son, LJ.  We hadn't seen each other in over 16 years.  It was great to catch up.
C and his daughter K were here for dinner when she arrived.
It turned out to be an early evening because she was dead tired from driving all through the night to get here (on her way to her parents').
This morning we arose, had breakfast and did some more visiting.  Then my parents came down so that they could see her again, and C and K brought pizza over for lunch and we proceeded to have a great lunch and more visiting before everyone had to leave.
After they all left I went with C & K over to their house to watch Harry Potter #2.  We're attempting to have a HP marathon before we go see #7a on Tuesday night.
We.  Shall.  See.

So all in all, a good weekend.
C and I are doing better than ever, which is a relief.
And an answer to prayer.

A good weekend for me.
A boring weekend to read about for my Peeps.

Sorry, Peeps.
But .... Happy Sunday!!!
:)

Your Mom and I must be the same age...I totally agree with her.

Love the new look...the swirls were a little "over the top" for me. This is easier on the eyes. Love the pictures.

Glad things are going well for you.

79 year old friend of ours had a proceedure on his back that I feel certain was an ablation although he never called it that. He said that it was not "bad" and he is having good results. Hope yours will go equally well.

Happy Thanksgiving (a little early)
