Who'da Thunk .....

.... that I would finally get this dang template thing worked out?  I was about to give up.  Then I found the implanted code from the previous template-provider and was able to delete it.  And .... voila ..... new colors.
I'm not crazy about this template so don't get too used to it.
As most of you know, I bleed orange for Oklahoma State so I was looking for a bright orange look.  This was as close as I could come in a short amount of time.
I don't really like all of the swirly stuff .... too busy and too "girly" for my taste, but I'll just let it sit for awhile and see if it grows on me.

On the medical front .... I know you're all dying to hear more about that .... my spinal block-thingy (don't you love my big, impressive medical terminology) is scheduled for next Tuesday morning.
I look forward to the nap.
And I hope that it relieves the pain for several days rather than a few hours.
I won't be able to have the ablation done until after Thanksgiving because I don't want to be in pain that week.  Four of the six kids and I are going to visit Jim's brother and his family in lovely San Diego.  Jim's dad will also be there so we're looking forward to that.  We haven't seen him since last Thanksgiving.
He seems to be doing well and is still taking care of the farm.
I look forward to spending time with him.

Oh .... I have a correction to make.  Son #3 informed me (in a very "you're so incredibly stupid because you don't know everything about football" patronizing way) that junior varsity football does not participate in the playoffs.
Excuse me, but I am learning more all of the time, even though he hates it when I ask questions.
Just because I didn't know what a safety did, doesn't mean that I'm an idiot.
And when I asked him (jokingly), upon hearing that he was going to play the safety position ..... "Does that mean you got out there and ask all of the guys if they're wearing their cups and their mouth guards?" ..... he DID laugh.
Though he totally denies it now.

Oh the joy of being an incompetent mother of a teenage boy.
I can NOT wait for him to have one (well, I really can wait ..... hopefully several years) .... EXACTLY like him, though I do feel a bit guilty for inflicing that on an unsuspecting female.
It's a good thing I love him.
Very much.

That's it for today .... unless something so thrilling happens that I just have to tell you.
Yeah.
Right.

Happy Wdensday, Peeps.
:)

Well, well, well ..... who'da thunk again?!
Here's the way-less-than-thrilling news that has occurred since I posted this entry:  Son #3's car, which we've owned all of 3 weeks, was hit today on his way home from school.  Fortunately it was hit by a teenage girl who goes to our church (ummmm .... well, not so fortunately for her, I guess).  She felt horrible, of course.  First accident and all.  But knew that it was totally her fault.  She did a really good job of slamming into the back passenger side of his pretty car, causing the window, as well as the back door, to not be in alignment anymore, in addition to the damage to the body.
Her dad called me on his way to meet Son #3 at the car-fixit-place.  He, too, felt awful.  I told him that it was OK and that hopefully it would never happen to her again and that we all go through this with our kids at one time or another.
Anyway, the damage ..... after just looking at the outside, is already at $4,000.00.  Poor guy.
I'm hoping that I have nothing thrilling to report the rest of the evening.

As I always say ..... and you HAVE to agree ..... NEVER A DULL MOMENT!!!!!!!!!
Ever.
Sigh ......
