I am trying to get over my mourning-period of Roger's huge upset(ting) loss at the Australian Open at around 5 a.m. this morning. My time. So, while I mourn ..... I will share. And hopefully get past this. It's a very good thing that my second choice for the A.O. is Novak Djokovic. And that I enjoy watching him play immensely. Just not as immensely as Roger ...... sigh. But I digress ..... back to the book.......
I am mad for this book. Crazy, in love, highlighting-everything, can't-wait-to-pick-it-back-up mad.
I will be reading this book many, many times .... hopefully for the rest of my life.
This book made me want to go out and buy this book:
It's not a work-of-art-book. Yet.
It's a journal.
A place for me to record my One Thousand Gifts.
I started last Sunday, January 23rd.
I plan to hopefully keep it with me throughout each day.
Or find something smaller to keep in my purse and then re-record into this book.
It's not as easy as I thought, but I'm getting there.
If you have no idea what I'm talking about ..... then get the book. The first one .... not the second one. Unless of course you fall in love with the first one and then want to get the second one, too.
:)
Any-whoo, I wanted to share Ann's blog site with you. You know, in case you haven't looked it up yet. I made it easy for you .... just click on the words, "Ann's blog site" and you'll be magically transported there.
I also wanted to share something she wrote, but I don't think I'm allowed to copy and paste it here, mostly because right below the post it says, "Please do not copy, paste text or reprint." I'm guessing that means I can't copy and paste the text here.
So instead .... I'll put the link to it here. It's called "A Blogger's Prayer". I also put a link to it at the top right side of my blog. See? It's the little square picture that says, 'I'm an Upside Down Blogger", only the U and the P are upside down and the S is backwards. I do not have the computer literacy to reproduce that. Heck, I'm just barely able to give you guys links! :)
Any-whoo again ..... I saw this prayer on her blog and loved it so much that I printed it out and put it on my bathroom mirror. See? (and yes, it's ok to print it out .... it says that, too, on the post. It even sends you (magically) to a printable version. How kind is that?)
Yes, I realize that it's backwards. That's what happens when you hold your computer up to the mirror and take a picture. Again ..... at least you have LINKS!!!
So there you go.
I've shared with you.
And if you don't mind me saying so, or even if you do ...... I think I shared some pretty cool stuff.
I hope you have a great weekend. I myself will be attending our annual Women's Retreat where I'll be bonding with other women and more with God. :)
Next week I'm going on a business trip (oh my gosh, that sounds SO grown up!!) to S. Carolina. Any Peeps out in S. Carolina? I've never been there, but if it's anything close to N. Carolina ..... I will absolutely love it!!
So there you go ..... have a good weekend and I'll try to come up with a good question for you all to answer while I'm away.
I know how you all LOVE to answer my questions!!
Happy Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Peeps.
:)

I am in mourning too re Roger. What a disaster. Sigh.
And the book - I can't wait for mine to arrive. I started my gratitude journal nearly a year ago, and it is wonderful to read back through it now on foul days. On good days too! I echo everything you have said about Ann. To all your other readers - go now and visit Holy Experience. You will be SO blessed.

Waiting for the book...the more I read about it on others blogs the more excited and impatient I become ;)
I too am missing Roger. But at least Kim Clijsters won. I support Andy Murray, but like Novak too - looks like he's winning now!
