Calmer Waters ....

Post post-note:  Found out this morning that they have extended my insurance!  Thank God.  :)
And .... I think some may even apply towards Son #2's extraction.  Whew!
Thanks again for all of the comments, thoughts .... and prayers.
:)

.... well, I'm not sure that the waters are any calmer .... but at least I am.
Thankfully.
How long do 2 Xanax stay in your system?
:)

No, I don't have any answers to the insurance debacle of 2011 .... wait, that's not true.  Son #2 and I went to the oral surgeon today and they called my home phone right after we left the office.  I obviously wasn't home to receive their call (do you think they did that on purpose?) so they left a message.  And told me that my dental insurance had expired on November 30th.  What a shocker.
I don't think it really mattered anyway ..... when I was investigating various insurance companies on line the other night I didn't find a single company that covered teeth extractions.  No, not even the ever-so-common wisdom teeth.
Lovely.

Interestingly enough, they were told that particular insurance had expired (it's with a different company than my health insurance) and then were told that my health insurance doesn't cover wisdom teeth extraction either.
But not told that it had expired.
So .... I have no idea if I have coverage or not .... but I'm forging ahead.
My surgery is still planned for Wednesday.

The oral surgeon's office thought that Son #2 would have to wait until the 22nd or 23rd for his procedure (they have a very full schedule).   Which doesn't leave a whole lot of time before he heads to boot camp on January 9th (not to mention .... Christmas).  But he wanted to go ahead and get them out.  This should be my Christmas gift to him ..... letting him have this done by a very good, very well-respected oral surgeon here ..... and not by some unknown military dentist ..... for like ..... FREE.
Not that I'm saying anything negative about military dentists ..... I'm just sayin' ....

Well, once his assistant pulled up the schedule she found that they had an opening earlier than she thought.
On Wednesday.
The 14th.
Of course they did.
And who was shocked by that?

So, Son #2 will have his wisdom teeth (two of which are impacted) removed on Wednesday.
And I'll have my septum broken at both ends and re-formed.  Plus some other stuff done that I don't want to talk about.
This will be SUCH a fun house on Wednesday night, doncha think?  Not to mention Thursday.
Daughter #2 is coming home on Tuesday so that she can help me/us out.  I think she's getting a lot more than she bargained for.
Pray for her.
A lot.

Yes, in spite of all that .... I'm calmer.
And there's no earthly reason at all.
Which just goes to show that God has heard what has probably been a lot of prayers.
And has chosen to answer them.

The waters aren't necessarily any calmer .... but at least I am.
Miracles still happen.
Sometimes.
:)

Thanks for your prayers, Peeps.
And happy Thursday/Friday.
:)

He doesn't always calm the storm but calms us. Thankful that you are calmer. Still praying for Him to straighten out this crooked path in front of you.

Praise God for the extended insurance. Praying that the insurance company will have a change of mind about the injection.

Will be praying for you this week, with both surgeries and the anniversary coming up, it will no doubt be a very difficult week. So glad your daughter is coming to help.

Many prayers will be going up for you.

Isaiah 43:1-3

1) But now, this is what the LORD says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

2) When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.

3) For I am the LORD your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;

Hugs and much love always!!!

I am so glad you got your insurance extended.
Saturday I went to the mail and got a letter from our health insurance company that my group coverage had been terminated due to lack of payment and if I had any questions to call my employer.
1. I am the employer
2. I paid the premium by Fed X last week
3. To reinstate they wanted a certified check for 2 months again federal expressed by tomorrow.
I spent the entire weekend freaked out, stressed out and sick. I had to call my employees as they all got letters that I was sure we had coverage and would get it fixed on Monday. When I went online the policy said there were no exceptions to the termination policy for lack of premium. More stress.
I had a bunch of expensive tests in November (the cancel date was 10/31) and we are having a big surgery in Jan.
So hopefully tomorrow I will get good news that they are reinstating our small group.
So this lurker who rarely comments had to let you know you are not alone. I guess I screwed up somewhere causing all this to happen but damn, I can't do it all.
Thanks for sharing your story because its the only thing that kept me sane (and lots of Xanax) knowing your story had a "happy" ending and hoping my would too.
