I sometimes dread coming here to ask for you to pray, yet again. Especially when it seems that it's all I'm asking of you.
But then .... I don't know what else to do.
And this one hits very close to home.
Too close.
Son #2 told me this morning that his girlfriend's dad died this morning.
I am totally at a loss for words.
All they know, as of now, is that his body was found this morning at his home.
No reason. No clear cause.
Not expected.
His girlfriend, S, is a young woman I have come to care for a good deal. She has been wonderful for Son #2. They have been together for over a year.
And my heart is broken for her.
All I could do was cry when he told me. And to tell him that I was so very sorry.
I also told him that I thought God had put him with S for this very time. Who better to understand the kind of grief she is experiencing in these first few hours .... and what is yet to come?
But ..... he cannot make this better for her.
And, truth be told, I worry about how this affects him, too.
How it will bring it all back to him.
My heart hurts.
For so many people.
And so I do the only thing I know to do ..... come here.
And ask for you to pray.
And I ask you this .... please not only pray, but post a comment here .... so that Son #2 and S will know how very many people are praying for them and keeping them in their thoughts.

Prayers, so many prayers, that S and her family will know that they are loved, and not alone, and though no one can fix this or take away their pain...loving people will walk beside them in the darkness. And that matters, it really does.

I am so sorry for the loss of S dad, all these prayers and support will probably be a blur now, hopefully as your healing begins you will re-read them often and realize when you felt so alone and hurt many were lifting you up in prayer.
Son2, Honey, you probably don't feel qualified to help your S, yet maybe this was Gods plan for you to be home? Truly I have no idea the mind of God, yet I have witnessed many times he making good out of something bad.
Talk, talk, talk about what you feel and let S do the same.

Praying for your son and his girlfriend... I can't get over God's timing... it's like He knew S would need your son NOW and who knows how much more traumatic this would be if your son wasn't able to be there with her. I pray they are a source of comfort and peace for each other, I can't imagine having had to walk in their shoes at such young ages.
My heart goes out to both of them. Of course I will keep her and her family in my prayers
