Blessed to not only know them, but to be counted as one of them.
There are 10 of us and we live all over the country.
Three of us live in Texas, but in 3 different parts of the state. One lives in Washington. One lives in Baltimore. The other 5 live in California. I think.
I may be missing a totally different state.
Knowing me ..... that's exactly what I'm doing.
Oh well. I'll keep you posted.
We brought in an 11th woman for the weekend to lead our retreat and she did a fabulous job. It was the kind of retreat where you brainstorm up ideas, which get written down on huge easel pads and then the sheets from the pads get stop on on the wall.
We had lots of paper stuck on quite a few walls.
Meaning ..... we worked hard.
And yes we played hard, too. :)
I've been on other boards in my life, but this one is completely different.
And very unique.
We are all on the board because we have lived through, or watched someone live through, the darkest time of their life. A time which they really didn't want to live through, but unfortunaltey (or fortunately) city buses don't jump up the curb and slam into grieving widowed people
