So my sister-in-law wrote me and told me that our lovely 2 year old niece has decided to become a nudist. She loves to take her clothes off. All. Of. The. Time. Now I realize that most young children enjoy running around in the all-together, but this case seems to be a bit different. It's not just that she constantly disrobes, it's the fact that she leaves behind little "surprises" after removing her diaper that seems to bother them. And she does this often (and she has no interest in using a potty chair).
While my recommendation would be to feed the child a lot less fiber, I thought I'd post this in case anyone else had this experience with their toddlers. My little ones went through the "naked stage" but mostly while swimming. The most extreme thing that happened in the naked department was my fault. I decided to potty train Sons #2 & #3 by letting them run around naked in the backyard and "water" the trees. It worked like a charm. Until our annual church picnic. Yep, you guessed it. Son #2 dropped his drawers right in front of all 300 or so people and watered the nearest tree. He also did this at the Tulsa Zoo that summer. It took me awhile to reverse the tree-watering fun.
I think I did walk into the nursery once to find one of the girls had removed her diaper and left a finger painting all over the bed and wall. Gross.
But, really - one time with 6 kids is a pretty good ratio, I think. Although it could be that I totally erased any other events from my memory.
So anyway, any advice here would be welcome. My sis-in-law has been reading the blog (Hi L!!!!) so hopefully someone can give her some helpful hints.
I'm not sure that my "fiber advice" will fly.

Maybe sewing the clothes on her will work!
