I want to die

I know that I won't, but I want to.
To all who have supported me and have enjoyed this blog --- I'm sorry to tell you that my best friend, the best gift God ever gave me, my loving, supportive, Godly husband, died last night. It was sudden and awful and over less than 24 hours after we knew something was wrong.
That's about all I can say. I want to go to sleep and never, ever wake up again.
But I have 6 awesome kids who need me more than ever. So I won't go to sleep forever, but I need to say that I FEEL like I want to. Very, very much.
I, we, need your prayers.
J.

Janine, you are living my worst fear....my worst nightmare....I can't even begin to understand your pain, but know that all of us at CTK are grieving along with you and your family. It is a very sad day.... I am praying that God will help to dull some of the pain and bring you peace and clarity.

Oh Janine, dear Janine, I don't know what to say.... I just got the email from Lynn at the Church. I just want you to know I LOVE YOU and JESUS LOVES YOU and Jim is celebrating with angels in heaven. I am in tears now and can't imagine the loss. I can't even imagine. You are such an amazing inspiring funny wonderful person, wife and mother. You will make it through this!!!!! I will bring you a meal!!! (dear God that is such a small token... but I want you to see Jesus love in action and I know you will from our amazing church). I'm leaving town tomorrow but will be back the 23rd. sending warmth and love and prayers to you and all of your beautiful family. I may stay actually if the service is then...I am lifting you up in prayer. Jesus will carry you…

Love Wendee

I wish I could say something that would take away at least some of the pain. But I can't. I can only tell you that you are loved more than you will ever know, by more people than you can count, and that every one of those people are lifting you & the kids up in prayer.

There are prayers going up for you every minute of the day and for many, many days to come.

I will be there tomorrow. I love you.

Janine,

We all grieve with you over the loss of your precious Jim. He was a man of such character and integrity and a great leader in our community and school district. His gentle voice of reason and his passion for children will be sorely missed. Our hearts and prayers are with you and your children at this horribly difficult time. Jim leaves a legacy of love, commitment and service and he will not be forgotten.

I love your family so much and my heart is shattered at the loss of your incredible husband. There are so many things I will miss about Jim-his smile, his wit, his wisdom. The list goes on and on. What a Godly man Jim has been for my boys to have in their lives to lead them and instruct them and support and applaud them whether at church, confirmation or camping trips. He always included them and influenced them and praised their successes. Our family is here for you and the kids always. Natalie

You are covered in our prayers. In this life we must face many difficult, seemingly unjust, and foundation shaking trials, but we are promised in Romans 8:28 that our Lord will take those things and work them into good. This life is not what we strive for, it is what we endure and experience until we can go to our home with God. Janine, we are here for you, and more importantly your God is there with you. Love,
Lee & Marchetta

Janine,

I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I cannot begin to imagine what you must be going through. You have been there to support so many of us over the years - now is the time to let us help you. If there is anything that I can do, please let me know.

I heard something on the radio that I thought I might share. It is from 1 Corinthians 10:13 from the Message.
No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; he'll always be there to help you come through it.
