And Now ..... On to the Next Thing .....

....... which happens to be my MRI tomorrow morning.

Because ..... there is NEVER a dull moment.

So I leave for the medical center at 8:00 a.m. with my friend M, who graciously offered to drive me.
I report at 9:15 for blood work (can NOT wait for that!).
They start the IV for the MRI at 11:30 and then the MRI starts at 12:00.
When it comes to procedures ..... I have found this hospital to be very accurate with appointment times.
Very.
The doctor appointments?  Not so much.
Speaking of which .... I report to the surgeon on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. for the results.

So ...... you know what to do, my Peeps.
And you do it quite well.

I'm not so anxious about tomorrow ..... I don't like having all of the needles stuck in me, but I've grown rather used to it.
Tomorrow night I will need extra prayers for sleep ...... before getting the results.

And speaking of prayers ..... Stellan was discharged from the hospital today and he and Jennifer will fly home tomorrow.
They are more than ready.  He will still have to be monitored .... he has a very stubborn heart, but he's done well the past couple of days.
I'm so thankful with and for her ..... I can't imagine being away from my family, in this kind of situation, for this long.
Thanks for being prayer warriors.

Today C had surgery on his finger and all went extremely well.  The tendons looked good, the nerve damage is only on one small side of the finger .... and that may come back some day; the dr put a pin in for the fracture, which will come out in 8 days.
So overall ..... great news.  Thankfully.
Thank you for praying ..... again.

After I got home from the hospital I took a nap ..... since I was sleeping in the car on the way home and not good company.  This body is not used to waking up at 5:30 a.m.  And it decided to rebel on the drive home.
Thankfully, I was not the one driving.

Afterwards I met up with some girl friends that I hadn't seen in a few months.  It was good to hang with them until I had to leave for my last Grief Share session, which ended up being cancelled because a huge monsoon-like rain came through Houston around 6:30 p.m.  I was SO fortunate to drive through driving rain and flooding streets to get to church.
Only one person was able to make it so we cancelled the session.
I will miss hanging out with this group on a weekly basis.  A lot of bonding goes on in a Grief Share group.
But we have already planned to get back together in the next week or two ..... which also happens a lot in a Grief Share group.
I'm glad.

After I left the church (the monsoon has eased up quite a bit by then) I hung out with my newly-extended family .... which always warms my heart and brings me so much peace.  They are such a safe place for me ..... and love me so much.  They prayed with me about the MRI.
I think their stomachs hurt almost as much as mine over the thought of this stupid tumor.
Now that's a true friend ..... and I am blessed to have a lot of them who hurt with me ..... and worry with me ..... along with my family.

It is now time for bed.  I will be Twittering tomorrow as the medical stuff proceeds .... just check the right side of my blog ..... although there won't really be anything news worthy.  But if anything exciting happens ..... like I pass out cold in the lab, or the MRI machine sucks something metal into it during my MRI ---- you will be first to know!!

     What?!  You never know.
Take it from an expert.

Until tomorrow, my Peeps.
:)

I have kept the end of the month for you in the back of my head..wow, it got here fast for me. You know of course, that I will be praying for you today and most of all tonight and then tomorrow. Remember Eph. 3:20-21. He can do exceedingly, abundantly far above whatever we can ask or think....He is God of the impossible....hugs...Mary Lou

Good morning my darling daughter.
You are in my prayers, always. I hope everything goes speedily (is that a word?) this morning. Many prayers will be going up to that end, I'm sure.

That monsoon was something, huh? I can't believe you were out in it. You and Sassy! I wish you could have seen her. . .she loved it! She was running in circles in it, and biting at the water that was shooting out of the gutters. Weird dog. Very weird.

We love you bunches and hope the day improves for you as it progresses.

Hope your MRI went well today! I don't know if you read Antique Mommy, but she had a great interview up at Scribbit's place today - I especially liked what she had to say about the suffering she's been through- here's the link: http://scribbit.blogspot.com/2009/04/someone-id-like-you-to-meet-antique.html
