OK, it's Wednesday, but it's also 11:04 p.m. so I may disappoint you on the question front.
It has been quite a day.
It started off OK ...... and ended up with me feeling an incredible amount of pain.
So ...... forgive me if I don't answer all of the questions.
First off ..... the doctor's visit. Good news and not-so-good-news.
The good news is ..... that there is no new growth of the tumor. I am very thankful for that. That was my biggest concern.
The bad news is ...... that there is cancer inside my body. It seems that every time I go visit this guy I hear something bad. Didn't' expect that ..... didn't know it ahead of time, but there you go.
But ..... at least it's not growing.
No, there's nothing to be done at this point. It's not growing so they don't want to do radiation, since you can only do radiation on a spot one time. Better to wait to see if it grows (which is more unlikely than likely) and then do surgery and radiation. But the odds are in my favor.
So we will focus on that.
It hasn't grown since the surgery .... hopefully it won't grow in the next 4 months, before my MRI in August.
So I was relieved, and yet a little perplexed, but basically OK.
A clean bill of health would have been good ...... but that hasn't happened in so long that I'm not sure what I would've done with that information.
Three friends went with me, which was great. One took notes, and two asked questions.
I was glad they were there.
I came home and took another 2 hour nap. I wish I had slept through the night, but I had a meeting at 6:30 that I needed to attend.
That's were the day went horribly wrong.
Tonight was the significant change of a ministry at our church .... which seems to be where God has been leading this ministry, though I would really have appreciated it if it had not changed under "my watch".
It was a tough meeting, but it needed to be done ...... and hard decisions needed to be made.
Unfortunately, in making some hard decisions I hurt someone whom I care for. And that ... hurt me more than I can say. I thought .... and still think .... I was doing the right thing. I am a member of the church staff. This means that I am limited in what I can communicate ..... which I think is as it should be. But others do not agree.
And so someone was hurt .... very much.
And so am I ..... that someone would be hurt by me doing, in my eyes, a good job.
So .... I am hurt, a friend is hurt ..... and time will tell if this can be repaired.
I'm not sure, because my word and my ability to keep things confidential ..... are part of who I am. They have been for a very long time .... and I can't change that. And .... I don't think I should.
So we may be at an impasse ..... which saddens me, but which also leaves me clueless as to what to do.
OK, enough of that .... on to the questions. I think I only had two, though somewhere in the back of my mind there might have been another one or two that were asked.
If I missed your question .... I'm sorry.
My mind tonight is not what it should be.
susan said...AMW--how are plans going for Russia? How's W doing? etc, etc.
Susan .... I wish that I could say I have made tons of plans ..... but I haven't .... other than my plane tickets, so yay for that at least!
Daughter #1 was told that she would have most of her last week off to hang with me, It seems that she was lied to (which happens to be one of the national past times of Russians). So I'm not sure what we're going to be able to do together. All I know is that she expects me to have memorized the Russian alphabet and to get out on my own with ease. She does not know me very well. At. All.
I expect to see in Red Square and read a book most of the time.
We shall see.
She is more than ready to come home. She hates the grey skies and is ready to throw herself under a bus. Hopefully will arrive in the nick of time. And hopefully, by May 17th the weather will be a bit better. Please God.
I definitely need suggestions. Any of my Peeps been to Moscow?????? ALl suggestions are welcome!!

AMW When are you coming to Chicago? ;p
Oh my poor, neglected sister. I wish I could come up there this weekend. I love Chicago .... loved living there and would totally love visiting you. It's going to be a matter of sitting down with a calendar and making it happen,.
I'm sorry that it's been so long ..... I really do want to cone ..... just need to get rid of all of these kids and their unruly demands!!!
OK, that's it for now.
I'm exhausted...... physically, emotionally, and mentally. I can't do one more thing.
THanks for all of your prayers for me, my Peeps. I know you're praying and I know what a difference it makes.
Please don't stop. I need them more than ever.
I am pleased by the doctor's visit, but a it down at the "C" word, though not too upset.
I will survive.
For now. And I guess .... that's what matters.

Good evening my darling daughter.
I'm so sorry that your evening took such a difficult turn. I wish there was something I could say to make it all better. Unfortunately, we all know there's not. But I pray for you and your peace of mind. I love you so very much.
J...I too wish I could say something that would make it all better, there are no words. I was thrilled to hear that the growth and not grown but sad to hear the C word. I did pray against that, I really did. May Eph. 3:20-21 bring
you some comfort and Isaiah 43:10..
Be still and know that I AM God. I believe you are doing that..you are being still and listening. Love and hugs...Mary Lou
Janine,
I am so sorry, but the encouraging words that I have, you don't want to hear, nor does anyone else. Thank goodness you have wonderful friends and family, they will give you all the prayer needed. You, yourself, seem to be positive as well, so that will make things better. I am amazed at how much happens in your life and yet you still seem to be upbeat. I do hope only the very best for you. Hugs to you, Lorry
Do you watch "Amazing Race?" Sounds like you have an amazing race kind of adventure in store if you're on your own, and you need to know the russian alphabet...I envision some fun blog entries...can't wait to hear all about it.
sorry w is not enjoying it...although i've never imagined russia as a garden spot to take a vacation...probably one of the few places i really don't have a desire to visit. hope she's at least having an adventure in what she's learning...
Wow. Well, I will be praying about your cancer - God can do amazing things, and I will pray for His perfect will to be done.
I'm sorry that your friend was hurt with the decisions that had to be made. I hope you can work it out between you soon!
Janine,
As always, I felt everything you shared. Thank you for ALWAYS writing in a way that allows us to join with you. I know you don't want to hear this either :) but you are an inspiration.
Much love
Jill
