..... but only a brief break.
First, thank you all for praying. Please, please, please keep it up. Praying is hard for me at the moment.
It was a horrible week. Many things happened ..... it was physically and emotionally a nightmare.
Health-wise, I don't think there's anything horribly wrong, which is good but also frustrating because I need some answers. I have not received any test results yet, but I may have to be content with "stress". I know that stress can wreck havoc on a body.
I am living proof.
I had a difficult week as a mother.
Especially a mother without a her children's father.
And then .... Thursday was the 18th. A year and a half.
And I am tired.
No .... I am way beyond tired.
I am too exhausted to even move, let alone make any decisions.
I reached a breaking point.
And I broke.
I am not the "strong" person that so many people think I am.
It's been too much.
Way too much.
Tomorrow is my birthday.
Tomorrow is Father's Day.
I wish I were with Jim, celebrating Father's Day with my Father and with him.
I don't want to celebrate anything here.
But ...... in spite of that ..... there was a celebration for me today.
I. Have. The. Most. Amazing. Children.
Son #3 has been planning a surprise party for me for at least 6 months.
And he pulled it off today.
Very well.
My house was full of family and friends who love me very much.
I know that I am blessed.
I know that I am loved.
I know that God is there.
But sometimes ..... sometimes ..... the head knowledge and the heart knowledge are not always in sync.
So I am in a valley. A very deep and very dark valley.
My head tells me that I will climb out. I've done it before.
My heart doesn't have the energy to climb anymore.
So I need to give my heart some rest.
And hope that it will catch up with my head once again.
I'm sorry that people are worried.
I'm sorry that this is so negative.
But again ..... I want to put an honest face on grieving ..... and what it can do.
It comes out of the blue.
And I hate it.
Very, very much.

Blessed birthday. I know your family is happy and thankful that you were born and so are we your "peeps". Your heart is very beautiful..your transparency shows that fact. Everything you wrote is more than understandable. May you have a much better day today, may it be filled with love from family and the Sonshine of His love. He never leaves, it is always us that leaves. May He be the source of your strength today and always. I am not strong at all....He is the One who is strong in me, which I am sure I will have to remember in the days to come. I will not say Happy Birthday..I will just say we are all happy that you were born for you have added to all of our lives and of all those you touch. Blessings and hugs on your special day....Love, Mary Lou
I'm sorry.
I don't know you personally, and I don't know what to even say, but I'm really sorry.
I'm sorry that you have to deal with this.
And while I know it's not going to erase what you have to deal with only a daily basis, please know that your blogging community is praying and thinking of you today.
Janine,
You put on a very brave face (mask) for your party. You are amazing. I am so deeply sorry that you are in such a dark place right now. I wish so very much that there was something I could do, something anyone could do, to help you out of it. I will continue praying without ceasing.
Loving you more than you know,
Ruth
So hard....

I logged on today to let you know that I was praying for you and your children on this Fathers day. I also wish you a very happy birthday. (I am the one who lost my dad and the oldest of 6) I think that it is good that you let your feelings out and be honest about how the grieving process really is. Thinking and praying for you and your children here in Charlotte. Elizabeth
I'm sorry you're struggling. I imagine this day would be VERY hard, and I'm sorry it's been a hard week. That's great that your son threw a surprise party, what a sweet, thoughtful thing to do!
God doesn't ask you to be strong, and nobody expects (or should expect) that of you. In your weakness and your pain & grief, lean on Him, as He asks us ALL to. Praying for you!
I am so sorry for your pain, which is more than you can bear...continue to let others shoulder the burden where possible. you are loved. and as MaryLou said, we are happy that you were born, because you have added so much to so many lives, just by being you. When you are weak, then He is strong.
Love you! Sleep well beauty!mjd
