.... bet you never heard those two words used together. Although it would make a great title for a horror flick.
The boys have been playing a zombie video game for the past few days.
It's quite lovely.
Nothing says Christmas and peace on Earth quite like flesh-eating, blood-squirting zombies and the people who fight them off.
It seems like only last year the boys were playing with their Legos and Lil Tykes toys.
OK, maybe it seems like about 10 years ago most of the time but I have a few memories left.
I remember that the only blood seen around here was when one of them fell down and scraped a knee. And the only video games played involved chasing a mushroom and saving a princess over and over.
Sigh.
In spite of all the shooting and the blood-letting (and that's just among the kids!) it's been a good break.
Life continues to move forward ... and it's good.
The kids are all healthy and relatively happy .... depending on the day.
There are no workmen in my house ... at this very moment (although there should be).
The girls and I have watched several movies.
I even cooked last night!
I know!!!
All is mostly-right with the world.
So if I have to put up with a couple of zombie-slayers in my house .... so be it.
At least I'll have some protection when the zombie apocalypse hits.
How many people can say that?
Happy Monday, Peeps.
:)

You lucky, LUCKY girl! Having your own Zombie Squad. Seems like yesterday that I was explaining to a scared H1 that the zombies in Scooby Doo on Zombie Island couldn't drive cars and had to be "home" by sunrise and that since they were in Louisiana, they probably couldn't get farther than the Texas border before they had to turn back so we were safe in the northern part of the state. You must feel much more secure now! :)
Love you,
Ann
PS Our battlefront is in space these days.
I love the sound of contentment in this post. I am so happy that you are experiencing some happiness. BTW - You looked gorgeous at church yesterday. Your pink shirt matched the glow on your cheeks. Did you know you were glowing?
My children also assure me that due to their deftness in zombie war fare I will also be safe in the case of a zombie infestation!
Merry Christmas Zombie Slayer Mama.
I too love the sound of contentment in this post and the one before it. Glad things are going smoothly. Blessings...
