And laughter, in my opinion, is a very good thing.
Unless, of course, you may have to wear Depends to get through the weekend of laughter. Those of you who've given birth know what I mean. (just think "trampolene" and find out how much you shudder!)
Anywhoo, it will be a great weekend.
Son #2 and Son #3 both have to work all weekend so they couldn't come. Son #3 is staying with friends until I get back, though they won't see much of him since he's putting in full days at work this weekend. This friend has a lot of family coming in because it's our graduation weekend. Thankfully, I was able to give her my home to house some of their guests. Also, thankfully, we only live down the street from each other, which makes helping out pretty handy.
Great news!! Son #2 was able to get the week off to join us in Cabo!! I can NOT wait to have all 6 of my chicks together, on a beautiful beach in Mexico.
Which reminds me, prayers for any and all drug cartel kings to stay away from Cabo this weekend would be great .... and much appreciated.
I have been promised that Cabo is safe. We shall see.
How bad can it be? There's a WalMart across the street from the condo. I'm thinking that drug cartels hang around more expensive areas. Well, it's my thought which proves that denial ain't just a river in Egypt.
I may have to leave you with some essay questions ... just in case no one wants to pay the ransom .... and I don't have internet access in my hut, or tent, or where ever kidnapped people in Mexico spend their free time.
It has been a quiet week.
A very nice week. I got to spend time with one good friend and re-connect with another good friend. And I went to see "Dark Shadows" with Mom and D. It was .... interesting in an "Edward Scissor Hands but not quite as disturbing as Willy Wonka" kind of way.
Next on my list: the new Men in Black movie. Totally love those movies.
I also was able to spend more time with Son #2 (thank God he needed a washer & dryer .... it's the only time I get him for an extended period of time:) and with Son #3.
I love my kids. And listening to their views on politics, movies and religion .... even though I sometimes pretend not to.
That's all from the road, Peeps.
Have a great and safe Memorial Day Weekend.
And pray for a soldier and be grateful for a veteran.
:)
Be careful in Mexico. Although I am sure Cabo is safe, lots of tourists do go there. I will say that my brother had his own fruit and veg brokerage firm and he made extensive trips to Mexico, touring farms, etc. He always traveled with armed guards, security is no joke down there. Seriously.
