Too pooped to post

Sorry, but this post will be short and uninspirational (not sure if that's even a word).
I am so tired of feeling drained and exhausted all of the time. I feel like such a baby! Here's what I did today: went to tennis drills and then to a movie. Got home around 5:00 and felt like I could barely hold my head up. I am struggling to stay awake until at least 10:00.
Thank you, MK, for coming over to give Jovie her booster shot. She's been very exhausted and cuddly tonight.
Son #2 is being worked into the pulminolgist's schedule in the next couple of weeks.
Jim's mom seems to be doing well, though she's struggling to not be depressed. She wants to go home but she needs to be stronger before that can happen. I told her to work hard so that she can get out of there sooner.
OK, that's all I can come up with.
You can talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic: what kind of tree would YOU be (since that was already asked of me).
Discuss.

I would be a palm tree because that would mean I was possibly on an exotic island someplace. (Although, it could also mean I was in Houston TX. Not at all exotic!) HAHA

Good evening my darling daughter. I'm so sorry to hear of your extreme exhaustion. I don't know if it has any bearing...but how's your intake of protein? Not saying you should eat more....just asking. 'Cause you are loved. :) David (as well as I) got quite a kick out of the fact that Jovie is sleeping with you. Little furry kittens can be quite comforting. It sounds like you've found a friend. I don't know how long daughters #2 & 3 will stand for that though. Enjoy while you can. Then make a trip to an animal shelter and find one they will let you keep. Glad to hear they're working son #2 into their schedule. We'll be waiting to hear how it goes. As always, I love you and you are in my prayers constantly. I miss you. Take care of yourself.

i would be one of the ancient, ginormous Eucalyptus trees that grow on Tasmania and are the tallest and largest Angiosperm in the world (only the sequioa is taller but that's a gymnosperm ie conifer. Yes, i'm a nerd, I admit it). They're in my favorite place in the world - Tasmania - and are massive in girth just like the trees in the Pacific NW old growth rainforest. I have a pic on my blog, somewhere, of one with my kids being goofballs while I was trying to take a photo of them where they weren't making faces.

Right now I'm in a hotel in Port Arthur and heading out to the Gulf of Mexico tomorrow with some fisheries biologists to report a story on the Gulf dead zone - that big 4800 sqm i spot in the Gulf with no oxygen (in summer) and nothing can live due to runoff from all the fertilizers from the MS River. I hope that we do not encounter The Perfect Storm! I'm a little nervous! Hopefully we will catch some shrimp and can cook them right on the ship :)

Having been through a clinical depression in my past, exhaustion and physical tiredness comes from the hormones released from the deep depression itself and the lack of the hormones that make us feel good. Get enough rest, eat well, exercise as you can and take it one day at a time. Pamper yourself if you can. You deserve and need it now. Massage can be very healing. Thinking of you and praying. xoxo Wendee

I want to be a giant Maple tree, with a canopy that shelters lots of critters. I want the moss to grow up my trunk!
I agree with your Mom Janine...PLEASE make sure that you're getting some nutrition. Take a multi-vitamin:) I love you!

I've given it some thought and I think I'm a Rowan tree. Small, tough, and able to thrive in poor soil. We had one in our yard when I was a child and it was one of my favorite trees.

I would like to be a magnolia tree, big and beautiful. Isn't there a family story that involves a magnolia?? Some one climbed all the way up and got stuck? Anyone?

Love ya chick!

Wouldn't that be the same person who fell from the tippy top of that tree all the way down and got his eyebrows and eyelashes knocked off?
Oh, wait! Isn't that same exact same doofus who turned on the gas to the fireplace one Christmas morning and then got occupied doing something else before he finally lit a match? WOOSH!!!!!
As I recall, that boy had a difficult time keeping eyebrows and eyelashes. Burnt hair -- ewwww!

HA HA!! Very funny!!! At least he CHOSE to do those things, unlike SOME OTHER PEOPLE offering to pay him money to fall out of a second story window(at age 8 or 9 I might add)), and after he almost broke bones, NOT PAYING HIM! By the way, one dollar @14.9% interest, compounded daily over he last 30 years= a whole lotta dang money! Now D can't cash her b-day check I sen her for her b-day 12 years ago! And that's just a drop in he bucket!

Your family is hilarious! I can almost hear their expression through my computer all the way from AK and IN to TX! Mom, were they always this funny? I don't know what kind of tree I want to be but I want to be in your families forest.

I just want to know who is channeling Barbara Walters?!?!?!

Seriously, you are all so funny. This post hs been entertaining me all day. I think this is a good thing for you, Janine, and for all of us that laugh and cry with you every day. (oh & by the way-- I don't want to be a tree--I think I would be better as a grapevine--for obvious reasons!!)

Janine--you really need to think about writing a book. I think it would be funny, sad, healing , inspirational, theraputic (sp?) and about a million other adjectives. And what a tribute to Jim.

M & I continue to pray for you. Enjoy your trip.

If I were a tree I would want to be The Giving Tree.

KNowing nothing of your blog, Brianna (age 6) said this morning, "mommy, I'm sure glad I'm not a tree. Then I would have had to be out in the cold all night." Susan
