A blog that started out as a humorous tale of raising 6 children, then quickly became a chronicle of my grief at being suddenly widowed. Now it's the rest of my journey ... of living, laughing, crying, praying, rejoicing. Of being happy, sad, angry, content, sorrowful, alone, amazed and very, very blessed. And still taking life, one breath at a time ........

I can't even begin to tell you how often I miss Jim. A memory that comes back often is the last time I saw you at church. You were looking up at him in "utter disbelief" and he had that "jim grin" on his face. Dont know what it was about but it made me smile. I miss Jim cooking burgers at the lake, driving the boat (the last time with two "beautiful babes"), taking the kids for their 100th ride of the day on the jet skis and not minding it a bit, the funny comments he always made about my "healthy" dog, and his smile. How much I miss his smile! But mostly I miss "Jim and Janine". I have lost two very dear friends. I will take the "new Janine" on any terms..but I must say I miss my friend, the "old Janine" desperately. I love you and your whole family--di
