Not blogging

I am not blogging.  I am doing well and am enjoying my time with friends .... immensely.  I am in an OK place.  I know it won't last and I can't count on it, but I will enjoy it while it's here.
So, if I don't blog don't worry. I'm still here ..... just busy not being busy.
But here are 3 questions for all of you ......even the stalkers.

Where were you born?
Where were you raised?
Where do you consider "home"

Please answer ----- it's SO good to know you're there.  Really.
:)

Are these trick question?

Born in a hospital, raised in a house with 3 sisters and two parents in Mt. Vernon, Washington, one might say my current home is in Kingwood, TX though when I'm at the house in Stillwater that feels like home, and when I'm visiting my Dad in Washington that feels like home or visiting the in-laws in Oregon that feels like home, there is also my church home, hmm visiting my daughter in LA doesn't quite feel like home, yet! I have many temporary homes on earth, my ultimate home would be heaven.

By the way I was glad to see you were not blogging . . . I'm totally an optimist and thought you were busy doing things and so you were.

Born in Houston

Raised in various cities in California, Florida, Louisiana, Nevada and Washington where there were Naval Bases where my dad was stationed for 1-2 years as a time.
Home is wherever my family is, currently Kingwood TX.

Once when I was very young after we had just moved from Florida back to California, which took a few days of driving, I embarrassed my mother by telling someone at the church we were visiting that we lived in our car.

By the way, all together I spent about 6 years growing up in San Diego. My mom and I cried all the way to Texas when we moved back here when I was in high school. San Diego is such a wonderful place. I'm glad you had a good trip.

Love, Ruth

Okay, so I assume that you are calling those of us who read your blog but don't often comment, stalkers. So I am attempting to take myself out of the stalker category:)

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Home is two places. First, it's in San Jose, CA in my house with our girls and Nate. Second is my parents' house in Pittsburgh. That will always be home no matter where I am.

Born in Chicago
Raised in Chicago
No place to call "home" anymore after 14 years in the USAF and moving 9 times. (although I thoroughly enjoyed living in England and could VERY easily make it my home!)

To Ruth...how cute...we once stopped at Disney World on our way to our new AF base and our daughter (then 3 yrs) told "Alice" (in wonderland) that "we didn't have a home". LOL

I wonder what she was thinking...hmmm...you can't afford a home, but you can afford a trip to Disney World? LOL

Hi - Good questions. I was born in Penge, or as my mum preferred 'near Chrystal Palace', London. I was raised and still live on the Isle of Wight - little island off the south coast of England. My mums family were from here and my dad was posted here in WWII. Home is definitely the Island. Where ever I go in the world I am aching to get back here, ideally to my back garden where I can picture Ronnie playing with the dog and where I can let my guinea pigs run free and listen to great audio books while I snooze. I know it doesn't sound like much but it means the world to me.

I have commented before so I am not really a lurker, don't leave one every time I read. I am grateful that you got home safely and are so busy that you feel no need to blog at the moment. God is good all of the time. Now to answer your questions.
I was born in Jackson, TN.
Since my dad was a career army man I have lived in KY, MD, GA, OK, TX, and in Germany for five years total.
Home right now is in Germantown, TN. Home really is where your family is, wherever I lived as a child and young teen ager, no matter where that was, it felt like home and I attribute that to my mother.

Born in Flushing, Queens, NY.
LOVERLY name for a whole town, isn't it? LOL

Raised in NY-some city, some Long Island. Came to DFW/TX years ago...

Home is really NY, and Australia-I love my late hubby's homeland as much as he did, or at least close.

Tx/DFW was always supposed to be a few year stop-and while I have made two dear lifelong friends here, I know it will not be the last place I live on this earth. I look forward to the adventure that awaits...

I was born in New Orleans, raised there and in the Twin Cities. Minnesota, and am presently homeless, though Milan is our base with our 'stuff'. Having recently fallen behind on reading my blog friends sites, I was glad you had better things to do than blog!

I was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised in the Kansas City area. When I think of "home" Kingwood, Texas, comes immediately to mind; so that must be what I now call home.

Hi,
Hope you don't mind if I just say hi and skip the questions. Okay born and raised in the mid michigan area and lived 2 years in Nebraska and one in Florida. Other than that one day I'll be buried in the same area I've always considered home.

Whew I feel better for following directions.

Don't know if you will remember me, but I just happened to sit at your table for one of the She Speaks luncheons. I was the one who was also a widow.
Finally I have had time to look up some blogs of the people I met.

I hope to get back to your blog often. Please keep in touch. If you ever feel like leaving a comment you don't wish the world to see feel free to email me at lp8265@gmail.com.

Born in Sacramento, CA; raised 20 minutes west in Davis, CA. Home is Kingwood TX. Tomorrw I am not "going home" for 10 days but I am going to my "hometown" - which seems different to me. I do find myself saying I am visiting "my family" - even though my family is coming with me to visit my family.

I am not blogging either. I don't blog at

I was born in Mission Hills CA which is the "San Fernando Valley" - remember the original Valley Girl! (not!) I grew up all over, a gypsy wandering soul, including L.A.; Eugene, OR; my dad's log cabin with no running water in the middle-of-nowhere Oregon; Dallas; Portland, OR; Minneapolis; and Houston. Never lived anywhere more than 3 years growing up (and so obviously we know where I got my wanderlust from, tho it wasn't easy as a kid!). Home is Oregon (I love that green - or should I say blue - liberal state!!) Though in all honesty I haven't lived there in years. I think really my home is in heaven :)

Born AND raised in Dubuque, Iowa. Where Iowa, Illinois & Wisconsin all come together on the Mississippi River.

Now I call western New York state home, though, since that's where our family lives. And I suppose our families are what makes it our home, right?

I know I seem to have fallen off the end of the earth. I seem to read your blogs in sessions now. Life has been a little different around here, but I am still here! To answer your questions: Born and raised in Oklahoma City. Tulsa is currently home, until next summer we will be moving to Dallas! That will be very hard to call home, but that is where I will be with my husband and last child at home. That sounds really weird too! Love you J!

Crud. I had it all written out and my internet is messing up and I lost it all!
Long story short...I was born and raised in Springfield, Oregon.
After marrying here on our farm 11 years ago, it will always be "HOME" to me.
I tried to blog, but I suck at anything that requires that kind of daily committment;)
I love you and I'm always thinking about you!

Great idea nothing too hard to answer. You have gotten some really thoughtful answers. Mine just the facts although the home answer is interesting. I was born in Eureka, Kansas and lived in several little towns in Kansas but since my Mom was half Native American and we 3 kids were all a quarter we got very brown in the summer and didn't seem that people in Kansas were very comfortable with that. That was in the 60's seems odd to me now but a little girl couldn't come to my house because my Mom was Indian. Go figure! :) Moved to Oklahoma in third grade, lived in Bartlesville, graduated High School from Ardmore, College at OSU, travelled, lived in San Diego (I agree with you the weather is beautiful there but never felt like home to me very transient but at the time I was single) Moved to Tulsa in 1987 now live in Jenks. So I guess home is here in Jenks with my boys all 4 of them (husband, 2 kids and dog). But like others have said my final destination is Heaven just passing through on this planet.
Love you Girl,
Julie

Born Cleveland, OH; raised Cleveland, OH--was amazed that Cleveland would be on the homefinder map in Kingwood when we moved here--duh: didn't know about Cleveland, TX...Home is Kingwood, but home is also Cleveland (as in: "We're going home for Christmas")--but it's funny, my mom who has never lived anywhere but Cleveland, OH, will say "we're going home for vacation" and she'll mean the small town in Michigan where my dad grew up--which has never been her home, but I guess she's always felt at home with my dad's family. So I guess as part of our summer vacation we're going home (Cleveland) and home (Pigeon, MI)...woohoo! Susan (PS--though I call Cleveland "home" I never want to live at home again!)

I guess I could be classified in the "stalker" category. :-) I've been an occasional (and recently more freqent) lurker on your blog for the last year.

I was:
-Born in Portland, OR
-Raised in Portland, Spokane,WA...Kingwood, TX!...and Puyallup, WA
-Home is now Vancouver, WA--where my hubby is from. Since I'm right across the river from Portland, I guess I've come full circle.

When I stumbled upon your blog I was intrigued to have randomly come across someone from Kingwood and kept coming back. Since December I've found your family creeping into my thoughts often; you've all been in my prayers. Your faith is honest and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us.

Born in Harvey,IL but we lived in Park Forest. From 9 months until age 21 I lived in Marion, IL. I've been in Kingwood for almost 10years and until I recently left for a very, very long vacation I called it my "forever home." After seeing much of the South that I hadn't seen before, I could call "home" Savannah, Charleston, Nags Head, etc....... When I come home next week though, I am sure I will call Kingwood home again.

I'm a little late to the party but:

Just catching up on your blog. I was in Minnesota and my 80 yr. old grandma does not have a computer.

Born in Chicago, IL
Raised in Wisconsin, Missouri, and Texas
I call Waco home only because that is where I spent the most time in one place!

Hope to catch up with you soon.
