A blog that started out as a humorous tale of raising 6 children, then quickly became a chronicle of my grief at being suddenly widowed. Now it's the rest of my journey ... of living, laughing, crying, praying, rejoicing. Of being happy, sad, angry, content, sorrowful, alone, amazed and very, very blessed. And still taking life, one breath at a time ........

LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER!
Yes I'm shouting. and I will so have you totally committed if you get this or any other dog! You wouldn't let me even consider getting the Visla puppy.
AWWW! Well, If you have the time to love her, the time to go to training classes and the money to feed and vet her I think she'd be wonderful. I cannot really describe how important my dog has been to me since Ronnie died. I'd say think carefully without looking at the picture - and if your heart AND your head tell you to do it, then go for it with everything you've got in you. And as for the poop...big dog poop is actually easier to scoop than small dog poop in my experience!! Love lisa
Yes, they ARE alot of work. Food, vet bills, boarding, cute accessories he or she (or you) can't live without, it is alot to consider. In all honesty, really, really think about it. Read up on them. I think they are alot of work, if you get one just because they are so cute...not because you are READY to have a dog. They need alot of attention. Especially Mastiffs (or really any dog) needs walking and play-time EVERYDAY. AND they are strong...you may need a doggie class on "walking your dog". We did that for free at PetCo and it was alot of help. But they are fun. We have an absolute blast with our dogs. XOXO K in AK
Actually, they like to play, but none of my mastiffs like to walk. They are happy being couch potatoes and only going out to do their business, particularly in Texas where it is so hot. Mine run out do their business and come right back to the door immediately!

I can't even begin to imagine how much slobber would go flying when this type of dog shakes his head!! Yuk!
Love you,

You are looking at an English Mastiff, NOT a Neopolitan. I don't like the Neos at all, but LOVE my English Mastiff!! MK
