Kittens and kitchens and giants, oh my

The kittens are getting a bit more courageous (and yes- there's still plastic hanging in my torn up house):
(how could they not love this face?!)
                 George is getting closer:

             Son #2 playing with Gabby:

And THIS, is my island (and fridge in the background!):

I did a little happy dance when I came home from work this afternoon and saw this.
Yay!

I took Gabby to her first vet visit.  She weighs 23.8 pounds.  Just a lap puppy, really.  Or at least she thinks she is.  She got a couple of shots and her micro-chip (so that my bro can't successfully steal her and then breed her).
She checked out in excellent health, which was a relief since one of her sibs has a serious bone problem.
Guess I can't blame her health for the pulling down and shattering of one of my table lamps tonight.  Oh well.

It was good to be at work today.  Have I ever written that I love these people?  Yes?  Well, it's true.

I'm planning to load the horse, I mean, the puppy, into the car with Son #3 tomorrow and head to the lake.  The other 2 sons will join us later.

Oh, and we had another friend join us for our weekly dinner tonight.  Welcome, M.
I liked her a lot.
We're in need of a name for our group.  Something a little fun. .  So I'm turning to my faithful blogees (if I'm the blogger, doesn't that make you a blogee?)
for some suggestions.  It's very difficult to meet for dinner when you don't know what the people look like with whom you are eating!  So we need a name.

 Nothing mushy, nothing sad sounding.
And NOTHING with that "W" word in it!!!!

Nada.
Zilch.
Zero.

I know you can do it .... I have faith in you.

Now you'll have to excuse me so that I can root for another one of those Chinese girls to fall off of the beam!
:)

I wish I were creative enough for a name, but I'm not! Really I'm just commenting b/c I've never read one of your entries before there were any comments!!! I thought I'd be the first comment tonight!

Oh...and I LOVE Gabby! So cute!

Oh, NO...I just realized that you have zero comments b/c you haven't "approved" any yet! Darn...so I probably didn't get in first tonight! Oh well...

Oh...and I'm jealous of your "new" kitchen!

Well lets see......

......I know two of you.... you and M.....if I were to come up with a name that suits the two of you it would be the "Hot, tennis playing, mommies club" but since I don't know the other ladies yet, I don't know if that fits all-and... well.....its kinda dumb.

I know!!!you know I love your T-shirt "My Husband Rocks" what about the "My Husband Rocks Club"???

Its hard for me to try to come up with something for this group. It is a group that would not exist if something completely sucky and horrible had not happened (well, many sucky and horrible things frankly)so, while I know that you enjoy each others company more than you will ever be able to explain to me; I can't imagine how it would feel to be a member of this group, and I don't feel like I could possibly do your group justice with a name that I could come up with.

I'm just so glad that you have found each other given what you have been through- It comforts me to know that you and M can talk with one another, understand one another, support one another. I'm just sorry that each of you were placed in this club-and I wish you weren't!
I love you, K

What about "The Circle"? That's what you referred to yourselves as before. You could come up with all sorts of explanations with a name like that and it doesn't come off as sappy or sad. Of course, I agree with others who said that it's hard for those of us not in the club to come up with a name for those of you who are. This is a club that none of us want to join and our hearts break that it had to be formed in the first place. I am glad that you have found each other though and pray, no matter what your name turns out to be, that God will allow healing to come for all of you...together.

How about Kick Ass Women?

Ha! You don't have to post this comment! Pastor A will see that I used a bad word!

But you are REALLY Kick A, and I bet the other women are too.

Plus it sounds awesome instead of sad. And I know Daddy would like it. If he was allowed to say that men are no damn good, I'm allowed to say that my mom is kick ass, right? I mean you have a tattoo... clearly it'd fitting.

I don't know how the other ladies would feel about it, though.

But it's not sappy or sad, and it doesn't use the W word. That's all I'm saying....

Love you! And I'll see you in T-minus 3 days!

PS- Can I trade you Miley for Gabby? I'm getting tired of her. She keeps pooping in the house because she's scared of the rain!

My dearest Daughter #3,
I LOVED your post so that's why I posted it. Besides, I'd be willing to bet that a certain pastor has said "ass" before --- it's in the Bible!!! :)
I love you and canNOT wait to see you --- you're coming to the lake, right?
And get that dog to poop outside!!!!
Gabby will love having a playmate for a while!
Love, love, love you!!!

Call the group "The Rolling Stones". Then you can tell people "I'm having dinner tonight with the Rolling Stones".

Orrrr.... call the group "George Clooney". Same reason.

Hey J!

I absolutely LOVE the picture of you with Gabby! I am jealous that she is bigger than her brother!! Oh, and his bone problem is NOT genetic, and her parents tested good, so she s SHOULD have excellent health! I sent Audrey an email telling her how much you love Gabby and she is so pleased to have made such a good match. Anybody out there want one too? She still has 2 sisters who need a home!!
