Progress??

This is Jim, 5 years ago, helping Daughter #1 set up her first dorm room.  This room looks a little like my house looks at the moment.
BUT, there may be a lot of progress tomorrow..... or so I've heard.  I'm not holding my breath or anything, but there's a glimmer of hope.  The island is coming right along.  I hear that the granite is going on top tomorrow.  And ....... drum roll, please ...... I hear that the appliances are going in tomorrow!!!  It's too much to hope for.  I could get giddy.  Could.
Today was tennis, shopping and ...... yes, someone has to do it ..... a massage.  Thank you, A.  I'm pooped.  :)

That's it for today.  I am going to leave you hanging about the puppy.
Mean, aren't I?
:)

GET THE DOG! GET THE DOG! GET THE DOG! (The crowd starts the wave) GET THE DOG! GET THE DOG!

if you didn't get the dog yet--STOP! don't do it! dogs mean you can't go away at the drop of a hat (like to the beach, or Mexico, or ANYWHERE), you cannot even stay out from dawn to dusk without making a plan! Put a padlock on all the doors of your house and lock yourself inside, but don't get that dog! signed, former 100-pound-dog owner.

Just back from vacation and catching up on all my favorite blogs. yours is the top of the list. Hope you are still reading "Bring the Rain"--if not, you should read her post from July 21 (I think) entitled "Papyrus". Outstanding.

by the way, I think I can say that my kitchen mess is as big as yours...just in a different way...a way that's detectable from the minute you enter the house. Can you say "stench"? Long story, but our power was out while we were on vacation (3 weeks) and there WAS food in the freezer. Get the picture? the visual may be way more pleasant than the olefactory. At this point, I think I'd take your torn up mess. Maybe. Susan

Good afternoon my darling daughter. So...how's the progress going? And quit being so MEAN! I love you lots. Oh yes, Continental discontinues their service to Reno on September 2nd. Bummer.
