Mardi GrasWell, the hatches are battened, the yard is empty, the shutters are shut and the canned food is stocked. OK, so I have 5 days worth of Chef Boyardee, but beggers can't be choosers. I have an mattress in my bathroom and sleeping bags in my closets. The flashlights are loaded and the ac is set very low so it will stay cooler longer.
I think we have about an hour until it really slams into us ..... it's already hit land.
We are "hunkered down".
We have cancelled my Grandmother's flight until next month.
My mom is here, K and her family are here.
I will post when everything blows over ..... so to speak!!
Hopefully everything won't be "Gone With the Wind".
OK, I'll stop.
Before I get really irritating!!!

I've been praying for all of you in harms way. Praying it slows down. Praying for a hedge of protections around you and yours. Stay warm and dry and safe.

I've been through this, and I know what it's like. I'm watching TV and thinking of you. My folks are in Austin, working for FEMA, so I'm worried about them, too.
