A Note of Thankfulness ....

.... for all of the positive comments about the new blog look.
I'd love to take credit for the header, but alas .... I cannot.
My sister-in-law, A, has been working on it for me.  She is one of the craftiest people I know.  She takes after her mother.  And that's a very nice thing.
So kudos to A for offering to help me out.  I must admit .... my few attempts were pretty pitiful .... and hard on the eyes of some people.
She did a really good job.
Thanks again, A.  People like me need people like you.  :)

So the kids and I head out tomorrow to visit Jim's brother and his family and also my father-in-law.  We haven't seen him since last Thanksgiving so we're looking forward to spending a few days catching up.
It will be a quick visit, but at least we get to go.
The Daughters are in another play that starts next week ..... A Christmas Story.  You know, the Christmas movie where the little boy wants a Red Rider BB gun with a compass in the stock.  LOVE that movie.
Daughter #2 is playing the mom and D#3 is the teacher.  I'm sure they'll both be wonderful .... as usual.
:)

I will stick with tradition and leave you all with a question to answer ..... yes, even you stalkers.  :)

Here it is:
What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

Mine is stuffing/dressing.  Definitely.
Love,  It.

OK, now it's your turn.

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Oh ..... and Happy Thanksgiving, Peeps.
I hope you all have something to be thankful for.
:)

Candied Yams!!! My grandmother always made them and they were a family Thanksgiving favorite, so now I make them every year.
I love the new look too Sis! A did a wonderful job:)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and all of the kids. I hope it turns out to be a day filled with love and laughter that you will always remember.
I love you so much!

Hey Janine, yes, the new look to your page is nice! It's been awhile since I said "HEY" but I read your blog and love the pictures. :)
My favorite? Sweet potato pie. But I love Thanksgiving, best of all, because EVERYONE celebrates it in the U.S. Everyone! No "Politically Correctness" required. Except maybe a little sensitivity for the Vegans, hey, more turkey for me!

Big hug to ya!
Gail

Turkey & Mayo Sandwiches later on Thanksgiving day. (I prefer to be called a lurker rather than a stalker)

Thanks Janine - you make me happy!

Asparagus Casserole - THAT'S my favorite! Couple cans of asparagus, can of cream of mushroom soup (with a tablespoon of milk mixed in), layer of sliced hard boiled egg, grated cheddar cheese and crushed saltines on top. Heat at 350 till the cheese melts and it's bubbly. YUM, YUM, YUM!!!

Love you,
Ann

Bella .... you are SO right ...... I meant to write "lurker" NOT "stalker"!! I didn't even notice that until I read your comment.
So to all of my WONDERFUL lurkers ..... I'm so sorry I called you stalkers!!
Keep lurking!
