Well ...........

..... DANG!!
I stayed up until the wee hours learning how to make a snow cave and it never snowed!!!
It did, however, rain softly throughout the night, thus making the streets of this city one huge ice skating rink.
It's hard enough to drive in these conditions when you live up north and are used to it .... but down here .... forget about it.  They're encouraging everyone to just stay home, which sounds like the smartest advice to me.  Especially since there have already been several fatalities.
Son #2 is not going to like it one bit when I tell him that he can't drive anywhere today.  And I'm guessing that his employer won't like it either.  Hopefully it will be ok.
The three major network stations aren't showing any of the regular programming.  It's all about the ice, the closings, the accidents,  the crazy people adventurous souls who tried and failed to get somewhere and are now sitting on a closed overpass, and the weather outlook for the rest of today and tomorrow (in a word .... ICE).
I absolutely love days when someone tells me that it's best if I don't leave my house.
Love.
It.
I just wish these kind of days didn't involve people getting hurt or killed.

So, that's all the news from the arctic city of Houston.
I hope that you all are staying warm ..... and safe .... wherever you are.

Happy Friday, Peeps.
:)

brrr. i can't believe everyone is getting hit by this storm but us east tennesseans… don't get me wrong. i don't want the snow… or ICE either!! but we've managed to get every other storm system so it's weird we've been spared.
enjoy your time at home. i vote for jammies all day, hot chocolate, movies and popcorn. and fun board games and good times with your boys.

The roads in KW are okay. The news people need something to talk about since we didn't receive any snow.
