We woke up today with another wonderful view of the lake. A very choppy, very wavy lake.
Which means that there would be no taking out of the boat.
Son #3 stated that he wanted to go home. It would be more fun hanging out with his friends, than being at the lake, not using the boat, and hanging with his family.
Can you feel the love?
So I suggested a family vote. Son #2 got to vote by proxy (by me) because he was still snoozing at the time.
The result?
We are now at home.
So much for Easter at the lake.
It would seem that the teen boys don't appreciate the quiet and solitude and beautiful outdoorsiness quite as much as their mother does.
As soon as we got home both Son #2 and Son #3 hit the door and drove away.
Which is OK because it has given me time with Daughter #2 and Son #1. We watched a really bad movie ..... yes, another one (apologies to Kim and Vanessa, who both loved the movie "Tron"). This time we watched "Gulliver's Travels" with Jack Black. So. Very. Bad. And yet, pathetically, a bit entertaining.
But only a bit.
Another good thing about being home is that we will be able to attend Easter service tomorrow at our church. And Mom and D are driving in to go with us.
So there you have it ..... proof of my amazing flexibility. :)
Or maybe it's just proof of my overwhelming desire to keep the peace.
Yeah .... it's most likely that last one.
Happy Saturday, Peeps.
:)
