Friday at .....

.... the lake.

It's been a pretty relaxing day.
Unfortunately, for the boys ..... the lake has been way too choppy to take the boat out.  This has been the state of affairs for the past 3 weeks (minus last Saturday).  So Son #1 and Son #2 have yet to go out on the boat.
I'm hoping for calmer weather tomorrow.

Mom came over today and she and I watched "For Colored Girls" ..... which was one of the most depressing movies, as well as some moments of great up-liftingness, that I have ever seen.  If you haven't seen it .... just know that everyone's life sucks.  Big time.
And that everyone in this movie speaks in astounding amounts of prose.  So many moments that it starts to become a bit absurd.  Because really ....... who talks like this???  Not anyone I know .... either of color or lack thereof.

The Sons and I went out to eat with Mom and D.  Then the Sons and I came home to watch "Tron", which Son #1 assured me was a great movie.  Son #3 vehemently disagreed, saying that it pretty much sucked.

I should have listened to Son #3.
Totally.

I think I was lost about 10 minutes into it .... even if it was that long.
The movie is now almost over ..... and I have no earthly idea what has gone on, who's good who's bad, and what's real or not real.
And furthermore ..... I don't even care.

Daughter #2 arrived about 30 minutes ago.  I have really enjoyed spending time with just the Sons over the last 24 hours or so, but i will be nice to have another female here.

Son #2 and I played a mean game of pool today.  Of course .... I won.  :)

We went out for dinner with Mom and D ..... Mexican and the food was really good.
But then .... unfortunately, I agreed to watch this insanity-inducing very confusing, reality-challenging movie.

Thank God that Daughter #2 is here now.
Unfortunately,  she was also the bearer of the news that Daughter #3 won't be able to join us this wk end.
I am bummed, but grateful that four out of six could be here.

It is now officially past my bed time .... so I will say "Good night" to each of you.
