Of course the wall came down at 2:00, as usual. This time I was told that I looked tired.
Hmmmm, the jury's still out on whether that's better than "you look pale". I'm leaning towards worse.
One can look pale and yet be beautiful. Take Vivien Leigh, for example. She could be a pale girl and was drop dead gorgeous.
But if you look tired, I think that pretty much means you look like crap. Consider the tired look for a moment: dark circles under the eyes, or even worse ... bags. Then there's the whole hair thing. Most tired people aren't sporting a great do. And don't get me started on their wrinkled clothes. Of course i was wearing lavender scrubs at the time, and even though I rocked the lavender, I can't be held liable for the scrubs.
Anything that comfortable will never, ever be attractive.
So, I headed back to the van for my daily ritual of trying to sleep in vain.
And yes, I was interrupted again.
I have pictures but my phone doesn't seem too keen on the Kenyan cellular service it's being forced to use.
So that's all I've got. I need to pretend to go to sleep now so that I can write about Day Five before it quickly becomes Day Six.
A-hem.
I've been busy.
Happy Thursday/Whatever, Peeps.
:)

glad you are feeling a bit better and are functional for at least part of the day. Pale vs tired is a tough one - you are right about Vivian Leigh, but I am afraid most of us don't do pale quite as well....hope you continue to regain your health. Continued prayers for you and your mission group. Looking forward to pictures!
