Moody Monday

I'm tired and I need to crawl into bed. So this will be short and sweet.
Son #1 drove off to school today, and I keep myself composed until he's out of the driveway. He's so much like Jim that I can't stand to see him go, though I know he needs to .... for both of us.

Sons 2 & 3 started back to school today ...... and there was much rejoicing throughout the land.

Daughter #1 and I ran errands and talked a lot. Not sure if the words we used made a differene, but I guess time will tell.

I felt sad most of the day ..... really missing jim. Everywhere I looked I saw a picture of him (which is not very difficult in our home!).

Thanks for some of the answers from yesterday's post. I was in no way bashing the coaches, just the system in OUR community that I think exists. I know there are plenty of crazy parents out there (way more of them than crazy coaches), who can't see the nose on their face and try to take over. I've seen them and know they exist. but I also know that there are crazy coaches out there. Its not usually all one or another, but there are certain systems that need to be changed.

P.S. On that note ..... Son #3 made the team he wanted to make, which means he does not have the coach he is "less than thrilled with" so he seems to be a happy camper .... for now anyway. He says he'll stick it out for a year (we shall see) and then see what happens.
All I know is that I truly, truly miss the sweet, charming, pain in the butt child that he was 3 months ago and wish he'd leave this surly, glaring, uncommunicative punk on the school bus every day.

It is now 10:15 p.m. on Monday. You have plenty of time to ask me questions which will be a good distraction from the MRI tomorrow and the surgeon's visit on Wednesday.

I am drained and so am going to bed.
Take care my Peeps and have a happy Tuesday.

Do you use any motivation systemt to get your high school kids to study? Do you ever get called on to help with homework? Who was the favorite teacher your kids had?
