I have no picture for this post because I am at work at the moment (how do I put this on my time sheet, co-workers?!).
I heard this song this morning on the way to work. It spoke to me and for me.
You're in a better place, I've heard a thousand times
And at least a thousand times I've rejoiced for you
But the reason why I'm broken, the reason why I cry
Is how long must I wait to be with you
I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now
Help me Lord cause I don't understand your ways
The reason why I wonder if I'll ever know
But, even if you showed me, the hurt would be the same
Cause I'm still here so far away from home
I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now
In Christ, there are no goodbyes
And in Christ, there is no end
So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have
To see you again
To see you again
And I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

Good afternoon my darling daughter. Well, it's been a while since I cried at work, so I guess they can put up with it today, don't you think? How did you listen to that as you drove and still were able to see the road?!?
That most certainly had to written just for you. It says it all so well.
Did you get a chance to talk to your grandma? I hope so. Take care of yourself. I love you and am praying for you, as always.
Hi Mom,
Sorry to make you cry. I've heard that song a thousand times before but never really sat and listened to it until this morning. It does say a lot.
Yes, I talked to Grandma last night. She seemed to be doing OK -- she was glad to hear from me. It was nice to talk to her.
Love you!
J.
call it "blogging" so when I put 'reading it' on my time sheet, it will match. I DO enjoy the pictures. jog
I agree with mom! That song is so you. I would have had to pull over on the side of the road to avoid an accident. I love you J! Have a good night! Hugs and kisses to everyone!
Oh my gosh...I have heard that song a million times and I guess I never really listened to the words either. Wow.
I'm sorry.
I hope your boat speeds up soon.
We love ya.

I love that song. Want me to email you the mp3?
That would be nice --- thanks, D/G!
That is my all time favorite Mercy Me song. I think the title says it all. I think of you every time I hear it.

Every time I've heard this song since December 18 I've thought of you. And cried.
