We spent most of the day on the bus. Which made it a very long day. We stopped a few times on the way and the weather again was beautiful. I think it was around 70 today.
We stopped at a castle and walked around the grounds for a while. I don't have the energy to look up the name but it reminded me very much of Versailles.
Once we hit Munich we went to the BMW headquarters and walked around there. It looked like it belonged in a George Jetson cartoon ..... or like I should be saying, "Beam me up, Scotty."
But it had plenty of cool-looking cars.
We then moved on to the middle of town and took in the Glockenspiel (animated clock). It was pretty cool, but my arms got tired of holding the video camera for over 6 minutes!
After that we headed to the famous Hofbrauhaus (google it) for some huge liters (or maybe they were 2 liters) of beer and some great bratwurst. I have never liked beer. Ever. No, not even in college when it was legal and plentiful. Oh, I tried to like it, trust me. Everyone told me it was an "acquired taste".
What. Ev. Er.
But tonight I figured I HAD to try some ... after all, this is Munich and it IS Munich in Oktoberfest. So I ordered a dark beer from the menu. It had lemonade in it. I know!!
But it was really good!! I drank about 2/3 of it. If you're my friend on FaceBook you can see a picture.
We had a great time in that huge and VERY loud biergarten. There was even an oompapa band!
We headed to the hotel after our fun evening out. Tomorrow we head to the "Disney" castle ... you know, the one Walt totally stole the idea of Cinderella's castle from?
Seriously.
Anyway, we'll head that way and either close to Lichtenstein or Switzerland. I can't keep my days straight. We'll ultimately end up at Oberammagau to see the Passion Play that they put on ever 10 years. I think we see that on Monday.
Today was a better day. Less waves. Don't get me wrong, I still felt lonely, but today I realized that I am missing Chris, rather than Jim.
That sounds so wrong and unnatural, but it feels right. Chris loves me and he is my reality now. Jim loved me more than I ever thought was possible.
I have been twice blessed.
Well, I can barely keep my eyes open,
so that's it for now.
Everyone have a great Monday. I'll be rooting for my tennis team!!
Happy Sunday, Peeps!
I'll chalk in z
Soon

i told you that lemonade beer was good! is it cold there, or did you see topless sunbathers in the park in munich when you walked to the biergarten? shocked me because it was so unexpected (expected it on the beach at Nice, not in the middle of a city park)...anyhow, enjoy the castle, it really is cinderella beautiful.
